Bitch lasagna

“I don’t want to marry him, Papa, I want to choose my husband!” Toshinori sighed, lovingly stroking his daughter's hair. “ I gave you a window, a time frame, but the man you wanted, he didn-” he stopped himself, reluctant to finish his sentence but knew she needed to hear these words. To wake her up from her childish dreams, Toshinori didn’t want to hurt her like how the man she loved did, but he had no choice. His daughter had to grow up and marry someone for her to take his throne and face reality like he did at her age. Though it was cruel and heartbreaking, any parent would do the same for their child.

“The man you love wanted nothing to do with you, he was repulsed. So I decided for you. I...I’m sorry but it had to be done. What I did was for you and only for you, my princess.” The king lifted her chin, stroking her cheek with his thumb ever so gently as he wiped away the oncoming tears. His words stung, like someone had struck her heart with a broken dagger but she understood that her father meant no harm. He was only looking out for her, the people of his kingdom, and other kingdoms he had an alliance with. 

“I...I understand.” The reminder of her unrequited love hurt deeply, more than it should have but as future queen, she had to grin and bear with it. No more childish fantasies, no more wild dreams, and no more following around the man she loved like a poor lovesick puppy. With a shaky breath, the princess, soon to be queen, held her head high and took her father's large hand in her own. “Thank you, I’ll be in my library if you need me.” she kissed his hand and then elegantly walked off to the opposite side of the castle. To keep prying eyes away from her tear-stained cheeks, not wanting to spread rumors or such to hinder her image and possibly ruin the arranged marriage her father had set up with the king from the neighboring nation. 

Her back slumped against a nearby bookshelf after making sure that she was alone in her little library. Everything hurt, her body ached, and her figure trembled with worry, pain, and fright. One of her many problems was not knowing who this prince was and how he would treat her during their marriage. Was he a kind man or would he abuse her like she’s heard about his father, the king in the neighboring nation? Would he try to take over her kingdom under her rule? So many questions filled her pounding head... As much as she was worried about herself, it was mainly the citizens of her kingdom that she was deeply concerned for. The princess shook her head, sinking onto the cold carpeted floor as her fingers ran through her long curly locks in dismay. She felt cornered, trapped in a little inhumane game that someone tricked her into playing. But she trusted her father, he could read what kind of person someone is by how they carry themselves, their actions, and their tone of voice. Surely her future husband...surely he must be a kind man.

“You shouldn’t have pushed her away like that, after how many years you finally sent her off crying and now look at you. Sulking in your throne. Wasn’t this what you wanted my King?” a man with fiery red hair queried his brow questionably at the ash-blonde man sitting in front of him, who stayed silent in turn. What had gone down in his throne room three months ago was something he did want in fact. But ever since his last and final rejection of the princess’s feelings, releasing his full fury and immense rage, that was the last time he ever saw and heard from her again. It irked him to no end on how the scene played out, he thought he would be happy once she finally quit confessing her ‘undying’ love for him but it was the opposite. It hurt how her face twisted in pain at his unkind words, his violent actions, calling her every horrible name in the book, the memory made his heart ache heavily when he remembered her final words to him before she left.

“Nature has created you so beautiful my king. Your passionate words have reached my heart. Love me or hate me, both are in my favor.” her trembling words rang in his ears. “If you love me, I’ll always be in your heart. If you hate me then I’ll always be in your mind.”

“Just admit that you’ve loved her all along,” his personal knight sighed. “Holding in your feelings like this isn’t healthy my king.” he pressed on, waiting for him and his fiery attitude to pop off, something he’s been anticipating. For the last couple of months, since the princess’s visits had ceased, he noticed how his king, savior, and friend had stopped coming out of his throne room, stared out towards the distance in a small daze, ate less, trained less, even apologized to one of the knights as they bumped into one another, something he never did. “I think if you-”

The ash blonde man finally gave into his knights’ bitching and whining “FINE. YES, I LOVE HER, I WOULD BRING KINGS TO THEIR KNEES AND EMPIRES TO THEIR RUINS FOR HER. NO MATTER HOW COLD AND EMPTY MY SOUL MAY BE, HER WARMTH WAS SO INTOXICATING THAT IT MADE ME WEAK.” his king snarled, he had finally broken, never had his knight heard him talk about someone in such pain yet fondness. The king's eyes watered as he stared into his knight's red eyes, voice cracking with each word that held so much rage and love that Eijiro could feel his pain. “AND NOW I FIND MYSELF GRIEVING A FUTURE I'D NEVER KNOW WITH HER BECAUSE I HAD TO PUSH HER AWAY.”

He covered his face in shame, his form trembling and this feeling scared him. The Dragon King despised this feeling with such passion that if he had a chance to wish this pain away, he would. It wasn’t fair that his emotions betrayed him, making him into some weak spined fool in love, he was the Dragon King for fucks sake. A figure to be feared in all the land, not some weak-kneed puppet in love with a princess from an allied nation. The feeling of love disgusted him down to his core, how his stomach fluttered, the ache in his heart whenever his dear princess would seek for his affection… “King Katsuki…” Eijiro muttered in worry.

The throne room was filled with screams of rage, longing, and regret. Eijiro could only stand to the side and watch his king, best friend, and trusted savior pour his heart out in such anguish and fury that he was scared the citizens of his kingdom would hear from miles away. The Dragon King, Katsuki Bakugo of the Barbarians, showed a side to him that not many, if so, rarely anyone would ever see.
