some people have a hard time caring about characters played by actors they're no attracted or can relate to in some way through sexuality/gender/age etc but anyway, yes metatron is a great side character and antagonist, his debut episode is one of my favs, the twist in the s8 is great, and while s9 isn't that great, I think his scenes do so much for the big Why of the post-kripke continuation and how this ties so heavily to castiel. his antagonism towards cas is so fun because he performs it like he's metatron he knows this is a story and he takes over as the omniscient writer & narrator, he turns Cas' debasement into entertainment he confronts Cas with his own feelings much to be saidddd. and that aside his actor is just fun to watch, unlike lucifer, he is funny/silly and antagonistic in a way that is compelling I love whenever he shows up #mymetatron
