The wails of his wife were still haunting him. It had been hours, and it was still haunting him.

He could have never fathomed how much pain it would be to bring a child into the world - and yet here he was. His wife, after much extertion, had given Daeron something special, a daughter.

She was a little thing in her crib, and yet she still made Daeron's eyes soften completely.

She let out a little cry when Daeron gently took her out of her crib before calming completely when Daeron held her in his arms.

"Hello, little lady.." Daeron cooed softly, rocking his arms to soothe his daughter a little more, "I'm your dad.."

Driftmark's library was rather warm,contrasting nicely with the rather cold halls, the fire had been burning for hours now, and each time you thought it would surely be embers with how long it had been alight, you would check to see, that alas, it was not ash and embers.

Your betrothed had joined you today, although he is not an avid reader like you, he still likes to avoid his lessons to be with you.

"Are you enjoying the book so far, my lady?" Lucerys asks, sitting next to you. He had been reading over your shoulder but had stopped a while ago, growing bored.

"Perfectly, Luce. And please, do not refer to me as 'my lady' it makes me feel old." You hum, smiling softly, "Besides, we are to be married in a month."

Lucerys' cheeks grow red from embarrassment as he started to apologise perfusly - to which you tell him it's okay.

"Well, I can ask my mother, but I do think there is a betrothal soon with the Lannister Heir." Jace starts, walking with Daeron in the halls of the Red Keep, "We cannot be certain though, [Reader] has....been vocal with how much she detests him."

Daeron looks over at his nephew, before sighing, "So there might be a chance? Alright then.." He puts a hand on Jace's shoulder, the both of them pausing in the middle of the hallway, "I will go outside, Jace, maybe I'll even walk around for a bit. I will be back later." He watches Jace pause, before nodding, and walking off - going back to the main hall, rejoining the feast.

Daeron regathered his thoughts, a frown setting on his face when he was alone, going down many flights of stairs and finally going outside. He sighs lowly, closing his eyes and trying to clear his head from the stresses of court and the current pressure of his mother.

Loud voices caught his attention, so against all reasoning, he approached, before recognizing one of the voices - [reader]'s.

"I told you sir, no! I will not! And quite frankly, I find your persistence tiresome" [Reader] states, the man's loud voice shouting right back is none other than the youngest son, and only son, of the current lord Lannister.

"What is going on here?" Daeron starts, pausing when he sees what is happening, a surprised expression on his face when you sucker punch the annoying man infront of you so hard he collapses.

"I dealt with the problem," you stated simply, "why are you out? Let us go back." You turn to look over at Daeron, who nods, mildly impressed.

"My prince Jacaerys, please-" the lannister stuttered, faltering under you brother Jace's glare.

It was dark outside, and Baelor was hunched over a table, frowning over some letters - there are still some unruly people in Westeros, some who believe that the black dragon is the rightful heir.

There was a light knock on the door, drawing Baelor from his thoughts. "Enter!", he calls out, rising from his seat, his gaze softening when he sees you stand by the door.

"My love," he sounds soft, going to you and places his hands on your hips, pulling you close to him, "it's late, why are you still up?"

He watches you yawn, before you utter, "you were taking too long and I wanted to see what was taking too long." That getting a chuckle out of him , his beard tickling your head when he places a tender kiss onto your forehead.

It was dark, in the sept, the only light from the candles that where bouncing off the sleeping blue dragon in the room.

Tessarion was sleeping, she's never far from her rider, was she?

Daeron was sitting next to you, hands clasped together infront of him, as if in prayer, while you stare absentmindedly in the flames. You didn't want to be here, you wanted to be fighting for your mother, Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen, but alas, you are here, with the greens because of your marriage to Daeron.

"I know that you're thinking." he started, breaking the silence between you, opening one eye of his to look at you, "You know its not my fault."

"I never said it was your fault. If only Aegon bent the knee, or whoever is the new contender for my mothers throne" You started, looking over at him with an annoyed expression.

Daeron sighs, a hand of his going to clasp one of yours, gently squeezing it. "I know." He says softly, leaning over to press a soft kiss onto your cheek. "I am aware it might be hard for you..going against your family and all.."
