Date: Feb 09, ████.
Location: End Dimension, Beyond The Rings.
Observations:
> After I reported both the existance of an End Farlands & the amethysts that grew there, they sent out a search team to: one, collect more clusters than I got from my solo expedition for even more testing and two, see how chaotic this part of the End really is compared to the Overworld.
> I got my results back from the shards that I gave them. They said it shared the same physical properties as a regular amethyst except for the fact it seemed to be far sharper and brighter than a normal one; infact, it seemed that when it was exposed to light, it got shinier, as if it consumed the light itself.
[ There is a scribbled note near the paragraph, as if added last minute, it reads: "I asked one of the workers to check if the light bulbs installed in the lab room dimmed even slightly and they told that they did; amethyst absorbed light around it?". ]
> One of them told me that they could've sworn that the brightness diminished when they cut the crystal in half, but the others that were present could not attest to that despite the fact they were observing it carefully; I took one of the non-cut amethyst for myself to test it out later.
[ Another note: "Once cut in half, the light did indeed decrease slightly, and I could've sworn I heard a dying breath in my room when I cut it... Might be due to my lack of sleep as of late, I'll test again tomorrow". ]
> Forgot to write in my first entry that I took some photos of my findings to show to my team, after they copied the photos they gave me back the original photos, I'd stick them onto my board but it's full, for now it'll be in this book.
[ There are three photos. The first one is a showcase of the End terrain becoming unnatural after they ventured out, the second one is of the amethyst spike-like clusters sticking out like a sore thumb with endstone surrounding it & the third one is what seems to be the researcher holding a fragment of it. ]
> I'm waiting for what the search team they sent out will bring back, for now, I'm going to end this log.
[ You don't know why, but you have a feeling that it's best if you stop reading this book and pick it up later... ]
// ^ thats jst me saying im going to bed cuz it is 1am rn, and. yknow? i cant write lore while im in dreamland :sob:
Wemmbu stared at the photos for a moment, a weird sense of deja vu rising in his gut. Putting the book down on his lap for a second, he lifted his shirt, staring at the crystal core embedded in his chest. His life force. It looked oddly similar to the amethyst the researcher had been talking about.
Shaking his head, he decided not to dwell on it for now, closing the book and setting it off to the side as he pulled his shirt down.
