what people don’t understand about how adhd is disabling is that it’s not just getting temporarily distracted from, like, school work or hobbies. it’s getting distracted/being unable to motivate yourself to go to the doctor, eat regularly, do hygiene tasks, etc. it’s not knowing when or how long it will take you to do something, ANYTHING, and in many cases that thing is taking a shower or keeping your house from turning into a biohazard. it’s about being fundamentally incapable of controlling your attention and focus on anything, even and especially things you need to do to survive.

Americans pretending that the english and europeans are the only ones upset with the current state of the World Cup is laughable. The only reason you think that is because you quite literally only understand English and can't see the outrage from the rest of the world. Go ask people from Asia, Africa and South America what they think of your WC so far and I'm sure they are even more pissed than Europeans. Your country is denying players,staff and fans entry despite having valid Visas and subjecting them to humiliating searches at the borders for absolutely no reason. Not to mention the actual treatment of Iran's entire squad. Sooner or later we'll start hearing of players ending up in ICE camps. If you are not capable of accepting foreigners in your country for an international event simply do not host it it's literally that easy.

That's not inherently romantic, that's the general human desire to be valued by the people you value.
