Okay so there’s this argument saying that people who like Yaoi or things like killing stalking are homophobic. Now before I talk about this topic let me remind everyone on the definition of Homophobic/Homophobia.

Having or showing a dislike of or prejudice against homosexual people.

Now this is when things don’t make sense to me. Antis say that people who sexualize gay men in media or anime are homophobic. This saying goes against the literal definition of Homophobic. Yaoi and gay media show the relationships between Gay men and people enjoying that is not showing a dislike for homosexual people. They’re showing a interest and liking into them.

Now this is when we go into gay media such as killing stalking. For people who don’t know Killing Stalking is about a abusive relationship between a stalker and a murder. The comic shows domestic violence and rape between the two men in the relationship. Anti’s say that this comic is Homophobic because it “Glorifies” and “romanticizes” the abusive relationship, and it also shows the LGBT community in a negative light. Before I move on with my argument let me remind everyone of the definition of Romanticize and Glorify. 

Romanticize: Deal with or describe in an idealized or unrealistic fashion; make (something) seem better or more appealing than it really is.

Glorify: 1. Praise and worship (God), 2. Describe or represent as admirable, especially unjustifiably.

Let’s first start off with the argument that Killing Stalking Romanticizes abusive relationships. Personally I do not believe the the comic does in anyway or form it does not make the relationship seem good or appealing. It’s shows their relationship in a horrible light with the gory imagery and the two both suffering from the relationship. For example in chapter 26 Yoonbum literally tried to commit suicide over Sangwoo because he called him disgusting.

In no way does this make the relationship seem appealing it makes it incredibly sad and hard to read. It shows the truth on how some abusive relationships can be and how it can hurt the people in it. Anti KS also like to say that the KS fandom is toxic and romanticizes the abusive relationship and that’s totally untrue. The KS fandom constantly talks about how they want things to be better and how they want Sangwoo in jail or their relationship to get better. There’s literally a tag in the fandom that says “Sangwoo x maximum security prison”. Also the community is currently on edge because we’re scared that things will get worst after their cute date. The chapter was so sweet and we’re all scared it won’t stay that way. The fandom also literally shuns people who say the abuse is cute and calls them out for it. 

Also Koogi and no one on her team shows any signs of romanticizing the relationship. Koogi mostly makes art showing how dark the relationship actually is. 

Now let’s more on to the glorifying argument. It’s similar to the romanticizing argument. The relationship in no way is shown in a positive light and no one in the fandom takes it in a positive way. Here goes more examples of the comic to further this argument.

COPIC MARKER GIVEAWAY

Alright, so I bought all these Copics when I was in Japan years ago and have never, ever used them, so I thought someone else could treat them better.

All the Cool Greys (C0-C8) are Broad and Fine, and just about all the rest are Copic Sketch. You can see from the picture there’s a good range of color. I picked them all out according to a marker guide to get the most bang for my buck. There’s also two colorless blenders in there which are very slightly used.  Case / box isn’t included. Altogether there are about 90-95 markers (they were hard to count in just like this and I’m not taking the time to count exactly. count the photo if you want.)
