🎵 Walk, Walk, Fashion Baby 🎵 Drawing study focused on rendering armor (lighting, texture, and surface detail). Maedhros’ armor is inspired by late medieval German Gothic plate armor, with angular forms, a tapered waist, and engraved plates. Fingon’s armor is inspired by Ming dynasty Chinese ceremonial armor, with smoother plates, a high belt, and symbolic decoration (I went with a sakura flower). I had fun balancing two martial traditions from roughly the same period through my fantasy lens <3
