No art or anything today, instead this is just a list of headcanons for SCP Animated Tales From The Foundation (mostly The Castaways/The Castaway Crew)
1. In the finale episode when they were teleported to the Chibi World they had a file made about them and they are so somewhat considered "scps." Although having no cells (aside from Gustav) or numbered designations they are still not something naturally from the Chibi World.
2. When they were teleported to the Chibi World Carson asks if anyone else feels different. All of them have a constant strange feeling now that fluctuates in intensity. When they have brought it up to the few who know that they are from another dimension they have a hard time describing it, but use words such as "unease", "discomfort", and one of them (this is going to be a secret for now) even saying "My body feels wrong."
3. This one is more of an idea, or a what if, not really a headcanon I have, but in the episode where Ramsey is first introduced to us (I think) she tells Carson to take his helmet off and he refuses. He says "I waited really long for this upgrade!" Now of course that doesn't necessarily mean anything, but what if he can't take it off? What if the upgrade included it being surgically attached to his head but he didn't know that until he was "rewarded" with it? The foundation is pretty shady right? So who says they wouldn't do something like that?
4. I've said this in a past post but it was said that Gustav's father was one of the founders of the Chaos Insurgency which is interesting considering from the little I know of canon SCP lore the Chaos Insurgency isn't new, it's actually a little old. There was apparently even a whole war between them and the foundation! But Gustav is 24. So unless he was somehow lying, there is the likely possibility that he was raised in the Insurgency from birth. Because of who his father is he was trained to be (or at least supposed to be) one of the best soldiers/spies, maybe even as an heir for his father as well.
5. Not necessarily a headcanon but I feel like there are a few parallels between Gustav and Buck. Or, well, one that I can actually think of. Their parents. Basically both have mommy and daddy issues. Buck's is highlighted in the episode with the SCP that feeds off fear and I think other episodes as well, but we only really have two scraps of information about Gustav's parents. The episode where he reveals he went to college for acting, "Your mother must be proud." "She wasn't." And that other later episode that I can barely remember where Molly says she heard that Gustav's father is a Chaos Insurgency founder. To me this feels like it was deliberate. I feel like if the show could've kept going maybe this would've kept happening and been explored more. In the Long Horse episode Gustav was shown one final time before the show ended being approached in his cell by Long Horse, so there was definitely some plans for him.
6. And that leads me to this next head canon. After the Long Horse episode, there was the episode of 682 and Abby. That doesn't feel like a coincidence, as Long Horse was stated to warn humans of incoming really bad danger. He goes to Gustav, showing him something, and then later 682 levels up and starts a containment breach to get Abby and set off what I presume is the apocalypse. They've got to be connected in some way. But why Gustav? He's trapped in a cell after all with nobody to turn to, no allies (at least not in the foundation). Why not literally anyone else?
7. Gustav is gay (gay gay homosexual gay)
8. I really hate how Gustav's betrayal just feels... Brushed off by the other characters. I mean they could be more-so content considering he got shot and locked up. "Yay he got his karma!" and all, but it still feels poorly written to me. I mean yeah the last episodes after the finale were mostly poor writing overall so I shouldn't be surprised but still. He hung out around them quite a bit. Especially Buck since he was kind of her apprentice. Carson invited him to that Big Charlie cookout on the roof, he showed Molly that silly video presentation thing he put together, he even had a sort of heart to heart moment with Lawrence after what happened with 106 which feels the most significant to me. I think there are other examples that I just can't remember but episodes after that Lawrence seems pretty fond of him, poking his shoulder and lightheartedly messing with him as well as smiling when Gustav asked yet another question in one specific episode that I also can't remember. (My memory sucks okay leave me alone.) So why are they so unbothered by his betrayal? I like to think they aren't. None of them like to talk about it, especially Buck who once more buries herself in work and is also more paranoid, carrying some kind of weapon on her at all times. Molly is more protective of 999 as well as being more wary of other people. Carson, like Buck, tries to act unbothered by it but in reality is kind of pissed off about it, leading to him being a bit more hot headed and being more eager to jump into action without much thought. Lawrence is affected by it the most, leading to trust issues and guilt. Guilt thinking that if Gustav hurt anyone else he was somehow responsible, and also guilt thinking that, somehow, someway, he failed Gustav (he's still attached to him. Kind of older brother and younger brother dynamic that's a little bit doomed)
