Sometimes, when commenting on fics, people really overshare. The author does not actually need to know you don't like the basic premise the entire fic hinges on so you are "uncertain" about it.

You are allowed to disagree on characterization choices, but you do not need to voice them to the author or tell them you aren't reading past the first chapter. That's what the back button and private discussions with your friends are for.

It is especially annoying when the tags and summary specifically mention that fic is about the specific "issue" you are taking with it. If you don't like a "dark version of character a" or a "if character b never had a redemption arc" fic maybe do not read them.

Do not say, something like, "If character a was a Bad Guy, I don't think they would be an actual Bad Guy."

You are missing the whole theme/trope/plot point that is being speculated over in the fic.

Had to bury one of the cats today. The Old Man was almost twenty but still a nasty surprise to wake up to your roommate in tears and one our cats dead. Roomie didn't have time off work and couldn't stay so I had to take care of it and he couldn't help.

Just fuck today. I am going to miss him.

I think one of the best and unintentionally funniest worldbuilding aspects in Star Wars is the reasoning of why did Bail and Breha adopt Leia instead of having their own children. Leia is first established as the princess of Alderaan before she is written to be Luke's sister. So now we need to figure out how she got to Alderaan. She was adopted because she needed to be hidden and separated from her brother. Bail was placed there to be one of the only people who knew so there would be a reason why it was them who got her. They specifically wanted a daughter. Why? Because Alderaan is a matriarchal society, so they needed a princess. Why didn't the Queen and her husband have biological children? Because they can't. Why? Because the Queen can't have kids. Why? Because she got injured as a teenager and got her internal organs replaced and her body can't handle a pregnancy. How did she get injured so badly? She fell off of a mountain. How did that happen? She was climbing it. Why was the future Queen climbing a mountain in the first place? Because she needed to go through three challenges in order to inherit the throne and one of them required her to go through something physically impressive. Why? Because before that they just held a Battle Royale for all the heirs and the one left alive got the throne and they at some point figured out that maybe they shouldn't be doing that, actually. Oh, okay.

The tribes of Tumblr appeared to worship Apollo as their primary patron deity, most often under the epithet Apollo Spairahemon ("Apollo the Ball-Thrower") as a god of prophecy and sport. Moments of prophecy were considered highly sacred and were often recorded, and such texts are sometimes accompanied by an artistic depiction of the god — either his traditional masculine image or, unusually, in the form of a young woman, which appears to have been an earlier style before a conservative shift toward more conventional iconography — preparing to cast a round rubber ball that our scholars believe was used in the sport known as "dodge ball". Much as other cults regarded his arrows as bringers of disease and health, this community believed that being struck by this ball would bestow prophetic visions.

An earlier depiction (c. 2020) of Apollo as a girl clad in a simple tunic and playing with other children. Figures are smiling and the image is brightly colored, indicating a celebratory outlook toward knowledge of the future.

A later piece (c. 2022) that resembles the traditional appearance of Apollo. References to childhood and play are omitted, and the god carries a more frightening aspect; perhaps this icon represented grim omens rather than good tidings.
