Welcome to our page. Collectively, we go by Calypso, though the name Noelle is also highly preferred. We are a RAMCOA/OEA EC-DID system. We go by any pronouns and are taken by our partner.

i guess people don't usually need to manage their fear and shock when a stranger comes up and says they know what train and bus you need and what street you live on when you're half a city away from home because they recognise you for your mobility aid. being visibly disabled is great. no downsides whatsoever. i love having to be polite and sociable to strangers i don't want to talk to and not be rude about the intrusion or batshit insane way they opened the conversation because they know where i fucking live. #disability privilege or whatever
Someone seeing the error of their ways and becoming “not an abuser anymore” doesn’t negate what they did to the people around them. Nobody is obligated to forgive their abusers, regardless of if they change and apologize. I hope that helps @ last anon.

The prevailing view of suicide and self harm to most parents is basically rapid onset internet illness. Which is ironic given nearly every single person I know who has self harmed or tried to kill themselves has been in large part because of their family, but also not surprising because yeah no shit they're not going to think about their own personal role in making their property kid miserable.
Please be patient. I'm trying very hard to be A Person™ but it's really difficult for me, and I'm not particularly good at it. There was no tutorial and the rules seem wildly inconsistent.

thing is, for a lot of these paintings it wasn’t “after” lily elbe’s transition. there was no after to it. the one op posted was painted in 1928. this was 2 years before lily legally changed her name and began undergoing revolutionary gender affirming procedures. unfortunately she died due to complications of an experimental uterine transplant in 1931.
up until that point, during the day lily continued to dress in masculine clothing and even attended galleries showing gottlieb’s paintings of her. which was kind of iconic. she got to stand in a room full of people who were marveling her beauty, not knowing she was right next to them. it must have been such a cute little secret for them as a couple.

not to mention that for most people there is no real “after” to a transition. especially for these trans historical figures who had to balance identity and safety at all times.
i think having a wife paint these portraits must have felt really amazing for lily. to be able to see herself through the eyes of someone who loved her. i’m very much seconding op on the getting teary eyed.

Okay, but what about when it is for attention, because all self-injurious behaviours need to be taken seriously, no matter the reason. No one hurts themselves when their mental state is sunshine and rainbows. To even consider intentionally harming yourself, you have to be in a pretty dark place. Plenty of people self-harm a desperate cry for help. Asking for help outright is something most people struggle with to some degree, why would people who self-inure be any different?
michaels added a feature for a while in sept. 2020 where shoppers could ask questions that would be answered live by other shoppers anonymously. which led to some good michaels interactions.
don't freely share information about your system. especially not triggers, including positive ones. even on your system blog, you are not required to make alter intros or even use their real names. do not assume everyone online will be kind to you.
