Where I live, February (or at least the end of it)...

...Looks like snow. oh so much snow. last time we had this much snow it was two weeks worth... this time 3-4 days.

...Sounds like generators kicking into gear as the power goes off for a whole week... like trees falling and limbs cracking.

...Tastes like well-timed leftovers, and anything that can be cooked on the stovetop (the oven is gas too, but requires electricity to operate), in the order of perishability.... ALSO like gasoline because of that one time i had to siphon out the last of the jerrycan and had petrol burps for 48 hours

...Smells like COLD. And sometimes spilled gasoline.

...Feels like WORK... keeping the fireplace burning, digging out the car, shoveling the bern that the county snowplow left, and when the snow stopped, clearing snow off of the overhang, snowblowing the driveway (until the snowblower broke), hooking the car up to my FIL's winch and reversing down our long drive... but also NOT work, because I literally had to call out for a week 💸💸💸💸
