dear thin people: you are not better than a fat person. you are told every day by society that you are more hard working, more discerning, more tidy and desirable and virtuous. but that's not true. you may have worked very hard to be thin, and you're still not better than a fat person. people choose different things to work hard on, and even though i have not chosen to make changing the size of my body a project of my day to day life, we are equals.
dear fat people: you would not be better if you were thin. society would praise you extravagantly and treat you more kindly, but that's because society hates fatness and you stopped being the thing they hate, not because you became a better person. there is no secret good thin person living inside your bad fat body, waiting to be freed like a pomelo being peeled. you now and the thin you in your imagination are also equals.
you can't tell by weighing someone if they are lazy or diligent, kind or cruel, ignorant or erudite. you can't fucking tell.
