it does kinda piss me off that one of the best movie experiences in recent years (so good!) and frankly a top tier hard science book are based off a pun. "Hail Mary, full of Grace." it sure is.

Got mad again because I realized that "Eva Stratt" was also a pun. Eva is another version of "Eve," the bringer of knowledge and scapegoat of mankind. And "Stratt" is like strategist. She's the strategist.
Also, the Petrova line is red like the stupid apple and long like the snake, taking away Eden. Goddammit.
