Hey folks, I hate to do this but there don’t seem to be any other options. My family situation right now is terrible. I’m a depressed, autistic, gay girl with an extremely disabling anxiety disorder. My mother is severely depressed, disabled, and suicidal. She is currently supporting me, many pets, and a separate household consisting of my disabled sister and my sister’s two young children. My father is abusive and in control of the finances. The only income my mom has comes from collecting disability, and it’s not enough. I have no income, nor does my sister. I was recently denied for a second time for SSI and am going to have to attend a hearing about it, I don’t know the status of my sister’s disability but last I heard she had been denied.
We can’t afford what we need, and we need so much. We don’t have much food, we are constantly running low on pet food, we can’t afford new clothing, or dental work, or glasses, all of which are needed. As of today the only vehicle my mom and I have access to is my father’s, which he uses. I have weekly therapy sessions I need to attend, and I don’t know how I’ll be getting there now. My father occasionally goes grocery shopping, but only for very limited things, and he can sometimes be convinced to buy something if I’m the only one who will benefit from it. Other than that, my mother has to pay bills and shop with what little she has, and living with my father who only saw her as a means of making money up until she became disabled is only making things worse for her.

I’m also asking for anyone near Ohio who might be able to adopt a cat. We have many cats that we’re taking care of though they aren’t really ours, which is a very long story, and we can’t support them. They aren’t happy here, either. My mom doesn’t want to abandon them at a shelter so I’m begging for someone to come take a few. I can provide information on them if you contact me. They are all good animals, and removing even one would improve everyone’s situation.
If you can’t donate or adopt please reblog this so someone might. I’m desperate and I feel awful asking but we don’t have options. After something that happened recently I fear for my mom’s life, she needs things to improve or I feel there is a very real risk of her, and possibly my sister, committing suicide.
