The chemistry and contrasting of the kitsune guys is so damn delicious and they really work as a colorful trio when I imagine them in other contexts, like it’s so harmonious somehow even though they’re all pretty different

The genuine fun loving nature of Aki, the suave laid back persona Haru exudes with relative ease, and Fuyu’s regal stiffness hiding a fierce passion

I feel like it doesn’t read as perfectly in their DLC because you meet them separately but after getting to know all of them, seeing them side by side feels perfect in a way

And then the want to add to that harmonious color with a Summer Kitsune and when it works!!!!! Agghhggh tbf I’m biased toward Natsume…. He’s like green and ourple I think, cool colors to balance out the reds and oranges I imagine with Fuyu and Aki

Fuyu is probably a colder toned red but shhhhhehrj

But anyway I think why I like Natsume for mine is because I’m imagining the four-way dynamic happening as a kiki-bouba alignment where Aki and Fuyu are kiki and Haru and Natsume are bouba and I don’t know how else to put it

Like Aki looks up to Haru but doesnt respect him enough to ever let him know that while Haru has a soft spot for Aki

And this aligns with Natsume admiring Fuyu but respects him too much to bother him more than he needs to and Fuyu harboring a sore spot about Natsume

It’s perceived naivety versus perceived experience/maturity on one axis…. And then maybe the whole kiki/bouba thing on another axis? Idk ajdnksne but like they balance each other out is what I’m saying, it works and it’s so neat

They’re all flawed and they end up having to cope with tragedy in their own ways and then the whole curse happens and it’s like oh this is going to be a longer journey than we thought BECAUSE GROWTH TAKES TIME!!!!!! THE FIRST COPING INSTINCT CAN OFTEN BE WRONG

Also in a way I like that the warmer colored guys have a certain emotional distance just like how things turned out for the cooler colored pair… the parallels the symmetry I gonna explode into a billion pieces they’re just so neat

I should think of my Kitsune AU name rightttt now I think hmmmmkhn to give it a title will mean I have to hone in on a specific theme in my AU unless I make it vague…… ………………..
