so happy to see im not alone in my desire to only have and nurture female children. you are not crazy for only wanting daughters, and as the person who'll put in most (if not all) the work, it is 100% your RIGHT to only raise children you want.
just to get ahead of common and dishonest criticisms: i am not advocating for sex-selective abortions of male children. a minority of women deciding they only want to birth or adopt female children is not systemic eugenics or discrimination. it is also not the equivalent of misogynistic and ritual mass-killing of girl babies like in china or india. besides, males have forever let their disdain and disappointment of having girl babies be know (see: every other gender reveal party recording where the sperm donor frowns or storms off or literally cries when the confetti or inside of the cake is pink). when we return even a fraction of that energy, they lose it.
For anybody getting mad at the idea of women about discussing how some would find it disappointing to give birth to a male or talking about how they don’t wAnt to, remember that actual sex selective abortion has existed since we’ve been recording history, it was always just the females being taken out… there is nothing wrong with women not wanting to give birth to our oppressors
Edit: for the “gotcha” people who are about to say that we haven’t been able to tell the sex before birth for very long? Yeah your right, they just threw them in a ditch or buried them alive once they were born with a vagina.

Says the moid. Men preferring sons for millennia and killing female fetuses because they're "worthless" is ok, but a small group of women don't want sons and that makes us "sick in the head?" We weren't the ones committing femicide for millennia and up to present day. I think you're misguided. And a woman should have every right to choose if she wants to continue a pregnancy or not, for any reason, and that includes not wanting to potentially bring another privileged little male monster into the world.

it's not even about retribution, at least for me. it saddens me to think about all the female fetuses and infants who are killed all around the world because their parents value boys more, but ultimately that's still not my reason why i only want to have a girl. i am not trying to get "pay back." i just don't want a son 🤷♀️
only (some) women ever bother to interrogate men as to why men usually want sons. this much interrogation and discussion is not had about the motivations of males globally who have their wives abort or miscarry girl fetuses or ditch the infant to die of exposure or leave her asap at an overcrowded orphanage or sell her as a young girl to a brothel first chance they get so they can forgot about her, etc.
it was literally a trend on tiktok for males to comment "i don't want girls" "ill kill myself if i have a daughter" etc on tiktoks of women joking about their sex life or just being slightly cringy. everyone brushed it off as a joke but not all the men making these jokes were joking. a lot of them are serious. and like i said in my original post, you literally have to just go on facebook or instagram to see video recordings of men losing it and having emotional breakdowns or outbursts, or even just looking crestfallen, when the baby's sex is revealed to be female. even men who don't have a strong preference one way or another still let other mens preferences go unchecked and unexamined, so i dont get the outrage when a few dozen women like us have one too.
I think it's very rational for women to only want daughters.
You see where the patriarchy has taken us? We have a planetary crisis, a human right crisis, all led by men.
We don't know yet how we can reverse patriarchy.
The least we can do is not to birth more men thinking we can raise them better than our foremothers did.
We have the right to. Women have all the right to choose who will be born and who won't. No one is entitled to our bodies and our nurture. Women are the final authorities on the creation of humans.

Honestly, this might in some way make beauty standards for women worse. It's hard to tell exactly how, but none of us expected AI to be able to do something as impactful as deep-fake porn being easily accessible to random people online and looking quite believable a few years ago. The same way, this thing could also change things for the worse in the future.
It's all starting to feel very dystopian.
