Let's start off with d16 himself
D16 is young naive hardworking top of the leaderboard, believes in protocols and the system. And also, believes that Sentinel is good.
And now sentinel.
In front of crowd, hes the noble prime of iacon good virtuous cares about his people. But once the cameras turn off.
He selfish evil manipulating and only cares about himself.
In the tower scene Sentinel is gloating about capturing the high guard.
Dee now knows who sentinel is and is quick to call him out on who he really is.
Then Dee stands up to him and Sentinel quickly knocks him down on his back.
Dee is vulnerable, unable to fight back and pinned down.
Then sentinel wields an brand on him, dee screams in pain as it happening and he permanently scarred physically and emotionally. And not only that...
It happened infront of a friend. (Imagine how scarring that was for Bee to see.)
After that dee of course, is incredibly volatile. Angry, explosive, and wants Sentinel (his assulter) dead, which something many victims of SA feel after their assault.
And he does ended up killing Sentinel...and he's still angry and ends up taking out he anger and rage at those around him, practically at the things that remind him of his assulter.
(Detail you might of not noticed, Megatron only shoots at the sentinel statues)
Later after his banishment, he turns the brand, the symbol of his assult into the official emblem of the Decepticons.
This symbolizing how victims can make their pain apart of their identity despite the pain.
And now Dee. Megatron. Is completely different from the mech he was. His innocence is gone, Sentinel took that from him. You can hardly recognize him this shows how much victims can change after their assault.
Dee was a sweet mech who had he naivety and innocence literally burned from him and reacted in a way that completely understandable. Angry, hurt, and wanting vengeance for what happened and taking it out on the people around him.
(This my personal analysis for this. I thankfully never had to go through SA so I might've said things that are incorrect so don't be scared to correct me and share your personal thoughts on this)
Another thing I just realized: Not only did Sentinel brand him, he used the symbol of Megatronus, Dee's idol, the prime he looked up to the most. Sentinel twisted something Dee loved and made it forever bond to the worst thing to happen to him.
I think I should clarify that while I myself am not a victim, I have friends and a brother who are who have talk to me about their experiences and I grew up hearing stories of survivors of abuse and SA. I used what I heard and know to make this post.

SA is not something you just theorize about for a kids movie, it would be different if you were talking about how you felt represented by it from a bad experience you’ve had, but the fact you haven’t gone through it at all makes it an incredibly difficult subject for you to talk about, I think you should leave stuff like this to victims
People theorize dark things about kids movies and shows all the time. The theory that Peter pan is actually death and he kills the lost boys and that's why they don't grow up. Caillou has cancer. The Rugrats are dead except for Angelica, who is imagining the lives of the others. And while SA is a much tougher subject to talk about its still something that can be analyzed and talked about.
I grew up in an environment where I heard alot of stories of victims of domestic abuse and SA and I also read alot of stuff of how that can affect you as a person. I also have a brother who was a victim of SA and he shared about how that experience and what he went throughout, I was just using what I know about abuse and SA to write what I wrote.
Sorry if this sounds rude, but one of the first steps to bringing awareness to SA is to get people to talk about, including people who haven't personally went through it.

I think you need to clarify that your tfo SA thing is more of a “how I personally interpreted it/felt represented by it” instead of a theory or “what it actually represents”, because the way it’s written it feels really weird, it feels like you’re thinking way too hard and trying to insert such a dark subject into a kids/teen movie, a few people and I stumbled across your post and it really rubbed us the wrong way severely as SA victims

I am an ES Megatron lover and I absolutely LOVE how you portray him in ur au!!! I love a guilty Megatron (in both guilty for crimes and guilt ridden) and I love a Megatron who isn’t forgiven so easily for all the things he has committed, like YES. YEEESSS YESYESYESYESSSSSSS
It’s one of the things that bugged me, that because Megatron has experience being “The Bad Guy” that he’s always right when it comes to how to be good in ES. To a point it makes sense but holy shit I so desperately wanted him to make some actual mistakes and have some consequences for his freaking actions (and some closure on many characters parts (Soundwave’s too and I’m happy that he got to punch her for like 2 seconds in season 4 at the very least)). Like him being guilty isn’t enough, I want more hatred and for him to feel like absolute shit about it!!!
I’ve always thought the Starscream’s “autobot blue” optics was meant to be an implication or foreshadowing for a semi-redemption at the very least (oooggghhh fuck you later ES seasonssss) and the way they were finally talking about how Megatron was an abuser just had me so excited! I really wanted to see some conversations about abuse and how it feels for your abuser to be “good” or “better now” because I know how many people (me included) both want and need to see it! And I’m really happy to see that here too!! I love Bee’s resentment so so much and I love your craftsmanship when it comes to meanings and interpretations in your art as well 💕💕💕

I don't! Dratchet does happen in this au but it's also loosey-goosey war is over and lots of bots and cons are hooking up because it's a silly au set within this fic made by a friend (it's a fun read!) but instead of dratchet baby- we got megaratch accident baby because their partners (plural) went off on vacation at the same time and left these two grouchy old men alone and neither of them thought they could spark-

Got blookes megatronus the other day and noticed this.
"His legacy corrupted Megatron, becoming his dark inspiration."
Does this mean that Megatronus Prime was actually not that good? Does this mean that he was very alike to some of the darker versions of Megatron that we see?
The fandom was quick to say that tfone Megatronus is the one good Megatronus but now that I think about, it its because we know hardly anything about him, and the other Primes.
What if he's more so morally grey? What if ALL of the thirteen were morally Grey because, again, we know nothing about them?
