It would make a tragic story where a parent and child couldn't connect for some reason and could be a nice addition to Ragatha's (and apparently Jax's too) parental issues, add to the angst that Kinger spews dad advice to human girls but not the one whose creation he was responsible for.

Funny that in the end we got Kinger blaming everything on a dog guy that was relevant for less than 3 minutes of screentime total. So yeah, we are foolish.

The biggest problem with kinger's arc is that he never realizes he made something sentient, he never fully understood that ai beings have feelings,if only there was a plot twist of him not being a real human either would happen- oh wait it did,but did it help him understand that him and caine are not so different after all? Nah nobody gave a fuck actually. So yeah it makes his idea of making others feel unloved being the worst thing one can do fall a bit flat

I'm not even gonna mention pomni because she's such a non character in her own show, How come kinger has no interactions with caine despite being his creator

She's such a non character,a plot device,the dead wife trope for jax's bullshit and she never gets justice

She only exists to be this palatable personality to further jax's character arc,she doesn't even get any agency in their fallout, there isn't a fight or an accidental mistake,she's perfectly chill with jax's insane confession and then gets treated like trash afterwards as jax isolated her so much that it drove her to suicide

Hey remember her religious trauma? You know what religious extremists do when you don't live up to their standards? They isolate you so much to the point your reputation is destroyed

The show implies that ribbit never talked to kaufmo and ragatha about all this, I'd argue that it's ooc for ragatha to not notice a visibly upset ribbit but anyway, she's completely left out of the gang until she abstracted

And when she does, your first thought is feeling bad for her tormentor, not her. And as if that's not enough, jax forbids ragatha from mentioning ribbit, to further erase her memory because she feels bad. Apparently the narrative doesn't think this act as disturbing as it is because once again,we're gonna focus on jax

The show wasn't interested in ribbit as a character,just a device for jax's neverending angst,and you can see how the fandom reflects this behavior by only using ribbit for shipping purposes and angst...for jax ofc

Her life doesn't matter,her trauma doesn't matter, her feelings about her own situation with jax doesn't matter. It was never about her to begin with.

They had the golden opportunity to explore their dynamic after his death,the others ccould finally see his point of view and caine could've learned to understand humanity in ai hell or wherever that was
