The last few years my mobility has been declining. It started with a back injury that took years of physical therapy and steroid injections into my spine to recover from. Around the same time I started successfully gaining a lot of weight.

There are a lot of things I just cannot do right now at my size and with my mobility limitations.Whether it’s spending the day at a museum or the zoo, going to concerts, enjoying our local Asian street food festival, or even just being able to go to restaurants without having to do extensive research into their seating options.

Cause why is every romance story that just so happens to involve a plus sized person it's almost ALWAYS about skinny person validating you on your attractiveness

It's like, I GET IT wanting to be seen as desired but what society classifies as "attractive" (ie skinny)

But still, I see it as very limiting

Like, what if my "dream man" was fat?

What if my issues with plus sized dating has nothing to do with feeling validated by a skinny person and the issues with fatphonia being so insidious that there are fat people who find other fat bodies gross and don't even see them as romantic prospects

Why do you think love is only valid when it involves a skinny person?
