whenever i see someone lambast a piece of media for portraying a character getting away with bad behavior instead of getting narratively punished, i have to laugh because that’s literally the hays code. it’s not hays-code-esque or hays-code-coded, it’s just straight up the hays code.

I don’t like reading posts about aromanticism because so many of them end up putting platonic attraction on a pedestal and treating it as a replacement for romantic attraction, as if aromanticism is something that needs to be compensated for through friendships. I don’t experience either, and the absence of relationships of any kind isn't a tragedy

Forever will be annoyed that not wanting friends/not having any is seen as "bad" and "loser behaviour". Some people are perfectly content not having friends, and that's okay. Being independent shouldn't be looked down upon
