People don’t want queer people to just exist. They want them to play circus for public (now I understand Harry’s music videos even sharper after it came out directly from his mouth), they want them suffering for a coming out, they want to humiliate them when they aren’t gay enough, they want media with queer people dying in the end instead of a happy ending because otherwise it’s not interesting. Proving your sexuality has to be the center of your life otherwise you’re not worthy of being treated as a human. Because cisheteronormativity is still a disease that needs to be eradicated. Sad sad sad.
