I think my disdain for swiftie is well-known. So I really only know what I’ve been forced to learn via osmosis.

However, a friend sent me this last night which put the whole spectacle in a bit of focus (note: I still think it’s completely insane that anyone would spend this kind of money on what is, essentially, a party).

I came out to my parents when I was 15, and without Larry, that never would have been possible. It made me realize that queer love exists and it’s not disgusting, it’s a real possibility, and it can be just as beautiful as any heterosexual relationship. I’m 21 now, and even though I still have a long journey of self-acceptance ahead of me and I know I will face a lot of rejection, I’m glad to know I’m strong enough to face it.

My point is, every queer person in the fandom has a story, and we see in Harry the bravery to wave a flag that maybe we couldn't wave before, or in some cases, still can't. We see in Harry a queer man who, despite everything he might go through, keeps trying to show how queer he is in any way he can. So, while there’s love for him, I think there’s also a lot of projection and validation that we get from seeing that kind of representation. Not all queer people have an accepting environment, or are openly out, or live in a country where we are mostly respected. Even if we aren't famous like Harry, some of us have also experienced suppression and have had to hide a lot, so we can see ourselves in him both in the struggle and in the pride.🌈

The first bit is from a friend who is a fixer. We were talking about how Harry had gotten himself so tangled up with the Azoffs. What they said here really resonated with what I’ve heard previously about Harry basically being indoctrinated/groomed when he was a teen.

They also had a bit about Zoe:

I then got a call from someone else who had some gossip about Swiftie. From what I’ve heard (and I think I’ve already posted), Zoe was invited to the wedding without a plus one. Harry was invited with a plus one. Zoe apparently threw a conniption fit about this.

According to my source, only married couples and people in serious/committed relationships were offered a plus one to the wedding. This must have thrown a wrench into Zoe’s big engagement lie story. Lucky for her, Harry has concerts on another continent this weekend.

Anyway, according to my friend, for some reason Swiftie decided to share with people that Harry and Zoe have an “arrangement” in which he can sleep with men and she can sleep with women. Maybe this is Zoe’s explanation for showing up solo?

My other friend who had the earlier info about the Azoffs thought this:

Whatever is going on, Harry is surrounded by some absolutely shitty people and I truly, truly hope he’s successful at eventually getting himself as far away from the Azoffs as he can.

As if Taylor didn't know about his Wembley residency. She's so opportunistic. And doing her girlfriend Zoe a favor as well. Funny show these mentions all of a sudden make it obvious they got individual invites.

Well, this is 100% Zoe’s team trying to make up for the embarrassment that Zoe was invited without a plus one.

All the articles mention her movie (that’s flopping), her “fiancé” who can’t be there because he’s on tour, her “engagement” (that isn’t real), how she and Taylor are such good friends (always good to bring that up when Zoe has something she’s trying to promote), etc etc.

I think there are a bunch of fans who accept that Harry is queer. But they absolutely refuse to accept that he is/was with Louis. So any half-way decent looking man is fair game. Thus, stupidity like Xarry, Bradrry, Hazoff, etc. exists. They just think Brad is “hot” and have concocted this ridiculous idea that “Bradrry” is a thing.

It is not. And I don’t like even entertaining the stupid messages I get about it, so that’s about all I have to say.

If you don’t mind, would be be willing to explain why it is such a big deal to have the flags raised? 

I’m 36 and from Germany. Especially the rainbow flag is such a normal thing where I live that I feel like I don’t understand why it is considered so special. 

I live in a big city and we have got trams entirely painted as the rainbow flag. 

Today my work met at a youth leisure centre (not sure if this translated term makes sense) and an entire wall in the meeting room was painted as the rainbow flag. 

If I go for a walk around the block where I live, I see different flags (lesbian, trans, non-binary mainly, but others as well) hanging out of people’s windows. 

We have artists raising awareness for LGBTQI+ etc. 

Flags are such a normal thing where I live (and have been for about the last 20 years) that I just don’t understand why they are constantly mentioned as a big deal. 

I think you are extraordinarily lucky to live in a time and place where you feel that way. The majority of the world is nowhere near as accepting, open-minded, safe, liberal, or loving as the place you find yourself.

Queer people are being killed, harassed, denied mental and physical health care, fired from jobs, denied housing, cut off from their families, every day. Every day queer people have to lie about who they are, who they love, and live in fear of being outed.

Having someone like Harry show such acceptance of our community despite what people might say about him because of it, is really special. People look up to him, people respect him, it feels like a moment of belonging when he sings TPWK and runs with a flag. Every time anyone proudly raises a flag, it’s a reminder that these shows are a safe space to be ourselves.

Beyond that, knowing that Harry, himself is closeted, it’s such a moment of defiance. I feel such a wave of pride every time he does it.

Hi Gina, I couldn't help but send you this link. I think it’s one of the few physical descriptions we’ve had of Louis, specifically regarding a position with his partner, and to me, it’s a sign of just how routine it must be for Harry to throw himself into Louis's arms and wrap his legs around his waist. I remember a few years ago when Louis lifted a man with just one arm and fans were genuinely surprised. Sometimes I think people assume he isn't strong because he’s slim, but I know he can lift Harry, and I think Harry also knows how his man can hold him just right. I hadn't noticed before that Harry seems so accustomed to wrapping his legs around a slightly lower waist, which seems completely unconscious. It's those little details that make me think about their everyday life together; they are just so beautiful.❤🥺

I know it sounds crazy, but to me this video somehow ended the doubts I had about the current status of the relationship between Harry and Jeff

Oh, it’s not crazy IMO. That video showed multiple things:

1. Harry isn’t friends with Jeff anymore and can’t be bothered to fake it all the time.

2. Brad is absolutely not and never was dating Harry because Harry is very clearly used to jumping into someone’s arms when he’s excited… And that someone is clearly NOT Brad.
