I’ve never seen GX but “Seto Kaiba grows up to build, run, and own a card game school, which teaches children card games.” is the funniest most ridiculous yet in-character thing I’ve ever heard. Of course he did. Seto Kaiba’s two greatest ambitions in life are making children happy and being the best at card games! Natural that he would combine them. Seto Kaiba, High School Principal (But For Card Games) is somehow both so completely stupid that it sounds like a joke AND just taking everything about Kaiba’s character to its logical extreme. It makes perfect sense and also no sense at all. Chef’s kiss. 

I have been informed that Seto Kaiba owns but does not actively run the card game school, and while I understand that is the GX writer’s decision, I am choosing to ignore it. In my heart he sits in an office wearing his dumb trenchcoat surrounded by a bunch of encouraging posters and drinking out of a novelty coffee mug Mokuba got him for his birthday, while he plans fun tournament events and lectures the occasional troublemaker. You cannot take this from me.

i know the joke with 5ds is "card games on motorcycles" and it's funny and all but i think it's way funnier if you watch the show. because if you do it becomes clear very fast tha the show is not going to slow down for the absurdity of the premise. yeah we have card games on motorcycles. the motorcycles represent freedom. anyways we have more important things ot get to, such as CLASS CONFLICT-

"you gotta play with the cards you're dealt" WRONG. i play pot of greed which lets me draw two additional cards from my deck
