I do hope people seeing Subaru interact with Emilia without his memories will put to rest the idea that he only loved her for her looks. Like yeah she is his type and that was what initially attracted him to her, but that's not why he loves her. Without his memories he doesn't have a strong opinion about her beyond "she's objectively pretty." The idea that he picked her over Rem because of looks is wrong, it her personality and the way they bonded in arc 2 and the interim that got him.
