NOTHING is tastier to me than edward dating jopson and sol dating either armitage or hickey and literally everyone in the scenario is bitter and jealous and insecure and they all low key hate each other because of it
tommy and edward one sided beef and itβs all based around sol. because from tommyβs perspective edward is this whiney little posh boy who always has something to be depressed about even though his life is perfect, heβs pinterest-board pretty and even though he doesnβt know it, people like him. thereβs an awkward but endearing charm to him, the kind you canβt fake or imitate, and he holds an effortless grip over sol without even seeming to realise it. sol and edward go way back, theyβve loved each other since the day they met and theyβll go to the grave loving each other in ways there arenβt even words for. edward is the first person sol chose and tommy hates it because he completely understands why. and in many ways he sees himself in edward, a quiet, solemn, dark-eyed doormat of a man scared of the sound of his own voice. if tommy had gotten there ten years earlier then thereβs every chance that sol wouldβve chosen tommy instead. and i think that is beautiful π
I think part of getting better is complete ego death. Like youβre not above setting a timer for 5 minutes and focusing on a task. Youβre not above doing a very simple 3 minute workout to start. Youβre not above reading for 10 minutes a day when you first get out of your reading slump, even if you used to read for hours. Youβre not above starting slow and then building up to where you want to be/where you once were. What you are above is total inertia. Doing something really is better than doing nothing. Radically accept where you are, radically accept your limits, and go from there. Donβt let your ego get in the way.
I like putting on instrumental music when I write to help me focus and to get myself into the mood of whatever I'm writing, and I simply cannot get behind anything that doesn't include cello when writing fitzier. If there isn't a cello I get pulled out of the scene and distracted.
My favourite "basic" fitzier piece is Ludovico Einaudi's Passaggio arranged for two cellos
And for more emotional/intense scenes I looove Nuvole Bianche (also composed by Ludovico Einaudi and arranged for two cellos)
slight side effect I did not expect - now every piece with a prominent cello screams "fitzier" to me. I don't mind it at all but it does surprise me ever so slightly every time I listen to an instrumental playlist and without a warning I start thinking about fitz and/or crozier and getting sad only to realise that it's because there is a cello playing.
I'm very curious if anyone else associates specific musical instruments with either one of the characters or a ship?
Also I will love forever and ever anyone who'd give me more cello music recommendations π«Ά I need to make my fitzier writing a bit more diverse/longer, because so far I have 5 songs on it and I like only 4 of them ywy Don't get me wrong, I love the two songs above and Le Cygne but I can't go on like this lmaooo
