Ive heard 🤛 you don't like 🤛 chimps 🤛🤛
Chimps are more aggressive than some other ape species, that is true. They don't tolerate other troupes, that's true.
But all those pet chimps become so aggressive because they are pets. Because for a primate to be a pet is torture. These are extremely intelligent, emototive animals that NEED a troupe, a chimp family. Most pet chimps are smuggled from the wild, with their parents usually killed. That's an insane trauma. They need to live with their own, not in a house dressed in human clothes eating candies. They go quite literally mad. The work zoos put in to keep them happy and healthy is insane, no private could do It.
Chimps don't like others chimps outside of their familes, and they will fight them. But the reasons there are so many wars is because chimps territories have been massively decreased due of deforestation and human activity, to the point where troupes are forced to interact, instead of having the space and liberty to avoid each others. Because wild animals don't like to fight.
