All in all, everything was going very well. Rachel couldn't remember another time in her life when she had been as happy as she was with Finn. Sure, they fought occasionally and sometimes they would get so mad about something that the silent treatment would be put up, but ever since their second big fight - when Rachel thought he had broken up with her - they both held true on their promise to never walk away. Usually their small spats were solved by Finn just grabbing her and kissing her, or Rachel would cry and fly into his arms. Never did she think the fighting was a bad thing. It wasn't often enough to be worried and there were enough disputes to know that their passion was alive. Really, their relationship couldn't be going better. They were coming up on about four months together but it seemed so much longer. She felt like he knew her better than anyone else in the world did, and her confidence in that she was the same for him was high. Rachel loved Finn, was in love with him, and nothing made her happier than waking up in his arms every morning and falling asleep there every night. They had jokingly spoken about proposals and marriage, but she could actually see it with him. She could see the small, but intimate wedding and the tulips - the smiling faces of their parents. Finn's mother had taken a natural liking to Rachel and she felt the same way about Carole. The two had bonded so easily and when the day came for her to depart back to Ohio, she could still remember how Finn whisked her away to their room and they stayed there for a few hours while Finn let his small amount of jealousy show. Never had Rachel laughed as hard as she did when he spoke about his small fears that she would like his mother more than him. It just seemed that everything was clicking for them and Rachel couldn't be more overjoyed if she tried.
She stood in their dorm, looking around the area as she tried to come up with the proper design layout for decorations. It was tradition, as she heard from upperclassmen, for students to Trick or Treat around the floors and Rachel wanted to make sure that their dorm looked the most festive. She grinned and clapped her hands together as the ideas began to storm through her mind. Finn was away in the bedroom, caught up on his laptop as she gathered the decorations she had purchased during the week. She made sure to give him a quick kiss as she moved around the room, making sure that everything was collected. Rachel hummed softly as she pulled everything out into the main room, setting everything on the couch. Soon she went straight to work, stretching spider web across corners of the room and around the door-frame. She turned her humming into soft singing, the flying-purple-people-eater song flying from her mouth. Switching from the singing and humming, the dorm began to take shape as she strategically placed small little mementos of Halloween around. Small skeletons sat upon the counters and she even had a small ghost pillow set that now took residence in the corners of the couch.
With a satisfied nod, she began to move onto the walls. Rachel placed a creepy mirror on the back of the door, making sure to be extra careful and cautious with the double-team of tape and sticky dots that she used to hang the light object. Next came a few pictures around the walls. She was able to put up the first one but when she tried to place the second one accordingly above it, the height was just a foot or so out of her reach. Rachel let out a groan of frustration and set the picture down, looking around for a chair or something to stand on in order to fix the picture. Her lip was taken by her teeth as she couldn't find one that she deemed sturdy enough. Even though her weight wasn't anything substantial, there wasn't a way she was going to allow herself the possibility of falling and injuring herself, especially with it just being a few months from the auditions for the Spring musical! Rachel groaned again before stalking to the bedroom and leaning against the door frame. She saw her boyfriend sitting there, still on his computer, and she gave a small pout, "Finny?" When he didn't look up, she moved inside the room and pushed away his computer from him, settling on the bed next to him as she leaned over and ran her hand down his cheek, "Finn." Finally she had his attention and she leaned down and pressed her lips softly against his, trailing them down his jaw and landing on that spot on his neck that she knew he just loved, "Baby, I know that you weren't too favorable towards decorating but-" She stopped to run her tongue over his skin and then biting gently on it, "I would really appreciate you helping me for just a moment."
