chat what do you think of the sticker haul?
Final(ish) form yall what do we rate the stickers chat?
@thinkpad-offical
8/10! All stickers on there are nice, but it slightly bothers me that at what angle some stickers are placed, and the github social coding sticker is upside down
(oh and where did you get those black and white stickers (yes ik some of them have other colors)? They look cool :3)

While watching a DVD from the library my TV popped up a message saying to press a button if I wanted to watch this from additional providers.
It's never done that before so I looked it up and turns out Roku TVs have added all sorts of creepy things in the privacy section since I last checked.
One of which being they take screenshots from what you're watching and send them to third parties to identify it.
Fucking hell! Remember when every fucking device in your life wasn't a spy implanted in your home and working against your interests to try and sell your data? Remember how nice that was??
Remember when the TV was just a tool that would play the things you plugged into it?
Why must the future suck SO much?
TVs collect a huge amount of data. Here's how to use privacy settings to limit the surveillance on TVs from LG, Samsung, TCL, and every othe
A good rundown on what each brand of TV is up to and which settings you should turn off.
I’m glad that OP:
1) Figured this out.
2) Shared so others can learn from their mistake.

Hey everyone. There's a new youtube feature that rolled out just yesterday that's raising some privacy concerns.
People in the U.S., U.K., Brazil, and Singapore can now share videos and chat with friends directly within the YouTube app. The update bring
This post talks about a new DM feature in youtube. What it fails to mention is that as part of this new feature is that when you send someone a link to a video, and they open it in the youtube app, they will see who sent them the link. Specifically, your channel name.
If your google account name is your real name, so is your channel name by default.
This means the new default behavior is that everyone you send a youtube link to will see your full name if they open it in the mobile app.
To turn this off:
Go to your youtube app settings
Go to Privacy
Turn off "Channel visibility for shared links"
Trimming the source id (the stuff after the '?' in links) will also prevent this from happening.
Important reminder to circumcise your links!!!
both Spotify and YouTube have either ?si=kfhdheuuehdjd or &si=kfhdheuuehdjd in their links when you push the share button.
REMOVE ALL OF THIS!!!
with YouTube, sometimes the link will be youtube.com/watch?v=jhhehhdehhe which is fine, but if it's followed by the &si=...., remove that part!!!
This lets the apps track who you send links to AND shows your username (USUALLY YOUR REAL NAME) in the DMs feature of the platform
When opening YouTube links, please circumcise them before opening them or the person who sent it might be able to see your name too!!
Also, as OP said, go to your settings and turn that off!
Why would you use your real name on internet? Basic safety, don't disclose your name to strangers, Internet is full of strangers.
Unfortunately, people are stupid

We regret to inform you that the sunshine and friendship app is actually a children killing app.
I have been telling people for years that the company behind Pokemon Go had no-shit, for-realsies ties to the CIA and people never really took it that seriously. Anyway.
Why is this so exciting?
What's next? base64 obfuscation? :D
i made some Errors™️ with my install last time, but im starting a new job soon and should get a new computer. any tips for a better install this time?
plan your install ahead of time and right down every step on paper. Read the official guide first as well as a few on youtube. Draw visually how you want the disk partitions to look like. Read the wiki page for any commands that you might not know. Make sure you know what drivers to install for any sort of DE.
And those are the more basic forms of advice.
Another bit of advice that seems a bit weird is to watch videos of people install arch on things they absolutely shouldn't. As weird as that is, watching people mess up as well as do in depth installs on a wide variety of devices shows you a lot of the install process, as well as how to recover from it if it fails, which makes you understand how the installing actually works a lot better than just reading an install guide
Phones are just computers that have something deeply wrong with them

*inserting new RAM into my 10 year old motherboard* "Shhh... hey, hey! It's okay girl. I didn't mean to startle you. I know it's been a little while. I've got a nice little treat for you here, okay? It's going to help you run smoother. There now, see? That wasn't so bad. I'm sorry girl. I didn't realize how much stress I've been putting you under, streaming Elden Ring with only 8 GB of memory... No wonder you're having trouble with Baldur's Gate 3. You've been doing so good though. I know you'll probably have to go soon, but we still got a few good years left. Hopefully this will help ease any pain you've been feeling. I'm going to put the cover back on the case now, okay? I love you."
I'M FIXING HER OKAY??

i would really prefer if you didn't call it that.
Sorry Kris, I heard someone else call it that and it stuck in my head
Fair criticism tho :3
I'll think about whether I should stop
