having anxiety is like being given permanent unwanted custody of a halter arabian. like okay buddy is it panic time again. cool you probably need more exercise and an apple and then maybe you'll calm down.
taking my stupid walks for my stupid mental health with my stupid hypervigilant brain horse
thoroughly enjoying the notes on this post because it's equal parts people with anxiety going "yeah that's what it's like" and people with arabians going "yeah that's what they're like"
I'm sure it's fine to keep building data centers though
This morning two of my colleagues and I went out to Stones River Greenway to get some steps in before our meetings started for the day. They ran 5K and I walked almost 2.5 miles. It was pretty. I overdid it in the second half so that my colleagues wouldn’t have to wait for me for too long at the end of their run. So tomorrow’s exercise will be low impact.

there is no tumblr algorithm except for the fact that if you put 5 hours of work into a post it will get 20 notes but if you put five minutes into a post with no tags that's completely nonsensical it'll get 10k.
An algorithm is just a rule that social media sites use to decide what shows up on a user's feed.
On Tumblr, it's a bit of a misnomer to say that there's no algorithm. There is one! Implemented by you! Every time you reblog something you cause it to show up on your followers' feed - you're the algorithm. It's you.
the real algorithm is the friends we made along the way
In Nashville for work. Expected to be trapped in the conference hotel by the airport but managed to escape briefly.
"LGBTQ+ people with disabilities are often denied an intersectional identity due to inaccessible queer places/events, and the false idea that they cannot have sexual and gender identities. We must remember to make all places accessible and inclusive -- from homes to bars, to parades and festivals -- this month and all year long.
Love these words by Annie Segarra. “It starts with hiring us as organizers, it starts with integrating us into the spaces where we belonged all along. It takes the work to unlearn ableism and misconceptions about disability, it takes effort and care to make our spaces accessible. Pride is for all of us, not some of us.”

Two books in June, one very long fiction and one short poetry book.
« Heartsong » by TJ Klune is the third in a series. It’s an adult series about gay werewolves. This one has ace representation. If you like having content warnings, do seek them out before reading this book.
« Meanderings » by Tavair Dominique is a book of poetry by a Baltimore artist, musician, and writer. I met the author at Balticon, where he read some of his speculative poetry. The poems in the book include but are not limited to speculative poetry. They are also about family, place, intersecting lives, race, leaving a high-control religion, and beauty. I hope I run into this artist around town.

This little dimetrodon was lucky enough to catch this evening's rainbow at its brightest! 🌈

Description: An illustration set against a bright red background. At the bottom half of the illustration is a rabbit, mid run. It's head is pointed down and the iris of it's eye is the same red as the background. Text overlaying the image says 'If they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you.' Which is from Watership Down by Richard Adams.
