I think it's important to summarize the FACTS for some of your anons, who I think have only recently started following them.
When Gabby join France already journalist already asked if she knew Marine before, because they are very close after 2 WEEKS. Marine after 2 WEEKS asked to Gabby if she can tattoo her and Gabby said obvioualy yes. Two weeks and they already start to flirt with eachother.
Gabby decided as soon as she finished the 2021/2022 season with Sopron, a Euroleague champion and Finals MVP, to leave the team to join Marine at Asvel, a Eurocup team. Their relationship was already solid at Asvel; you only had to read all the comments about them in Lyon (but your anons probably don't follow them from France). Asvel just had to see their complicity and gestures towards each other on the court to understand everything (they're both touchy people, and Marine always seeks Gabby's attention). Gabby has always stated that she hates anyone who touches her neck; the only one who can do that is Marine.
In an interview a year and a half ago, Gabby told Ouest France that after the Olympics she had decided to take a sabbatical from the Euroleague (both she and Marine had finished their contracts with Asvel, which then went bankrupt as a team), but she received a call from Fener (Garnier, her former France coach, had called her) and we all know that Fener pays its athletes well (Turkish teams like Gala, Fener, and Mersin pay their athletes' taxes and gives big bonus) and obviously, in agreement with Marine, she decided to accept, Marine agreed to go to Mersin (rumors in Turkey said she was supposed to go to Fener, but McBride had messed things up).
Paris Olympics Gabby and Marine get engaged and Gabby goes to play in Seattle and Marine spends her holidays following Gabby to Seattle, going to the games with her jersey and 💍 before joining Mersin.
Christmas 2024: Marine gives Gabby the engagement ring, and she's staying in Lyon for a few days with Marine before spending Christmas with her family.
During the 2025 season, everyone knows about their engagement, thanks in part to the WNBA players who keep talking about them and their engagement. All-star Marine accompanies Gabby and wears her jersey during the game.
After WNBA, Gabby decides to renew her contract with Fenerbahçe, and Marine signs for the Gala immediately afterward. They live together in Istanbul, and when they can, they also go to each other's games, and they've been spotted attending the Fenerbahçe men's basketball game together. They did a tik tok together.
At the Euroleague Award, they wear their rings (they've decided to wear them only on special occasions), take photos together, and Jocyte says they're her favorite couple. Gabby calls Marine "the blondie." Marine smiles, almost pretends nothing's happening, and then reposts the whole thing.
Gabby signs with GSV and refers to Marine as her partner.
Marine and Gabby signed to Unrivaled (they're together for the entire offseason, have more time to rest, can play with the best players, and don't have to travel: all or almost all of their games are in Miami).
Gabby's family adores Marine as the y adores Gabby.
Some of your anons are talking about possible previous infidelities, which is making disrespectful and unfounded insinuations. It's also clear that not everyone knows how hard an athlete's life is, and that when they find the right person, they don't let them slip away. They got engaged because they love each other and want to build a life together. This is their golden period, and obviously they want to make the most of it. I repeat, if you're in a long-distance relationship, it means that beyond love, there's trust and communication first and foremost. They make the most of every moment they can to spend together, and when they can't, they call each other every day. Their lives also consist of workouts, FaceTime, Marine going out with her daughters to visit new pastry shops. Gabby has her sister and her daughter Jocyte with whom they try new vegan restaurants, anime, watch all of Marine's videos on TikTok, play video games, clean, and so on. My cousin, who has now moved to the UK with her English husband, spent a period of her life going back and forth between Italy and the US because he was working there (he had received a proposal he couldn't refuse), and they went months without seeing each other (this situation lasted years), and now they are married with two children.
