I'm too lazy to make a proper one yet so here's my basic ahh intro post.

This is a blog where... I kinda just do whatever I feel like. My irl friends on discord and this blog is part of my few coping mechanisms atm so try to be positive around me :)

I am a philosopher. Naturally, I make great stories. In my head at least, I've yet to write any at the time of writing this.

If possible, I'd like to have productive debates about things, because that would be cool, and I feel like is one of the few ways we can make progress in the world. SO CHANGE MY MIND, I DARE YOUUU!!!!

I believe Gen Z isn't cooked. Like, the human race will still live on, even if more people just wanna be goofy and silly and weird. The cultural revolution is near (pending name)

I'm a HUUUGGGEEEE nerd and Hank Green is one of my idols. goooo divaaaa

As this is meant to be rather shorter than the real intro post (coming soon) I won't mention my interests here. I'll need to make a list soon because I KNOW I have too many from my hyperfixations over the years.

it was pointless and racist of me to even include that at all.

I should've just not included it whatsoever or said "subjectively" like I did with the other points, because in hindsight, I can see how that would be a reductive and racist thing to do, as it arguably is racially profiling and incredibly disrespectful to ethnic minorities, but for some reason, at the time I thought specifying "white-coded" would've implied subjectivity, but no, you're right, it was still profiling in the end, that's entirely my mistake.

You're right to be mad, it was a disgusting thing to do, and I promise that you won't find me doing anything like that again.

dawg I don't even know who you're talking about but the fact that you're apologizing for it is a great thing.

I went through a nasty depression + ongoing-identity-crisis so I know firsthand how difficult it is to change. Understanding that you have a problem that needs fixing is the first step; then, apologizing for your mistakes to whoever it is relevant, including yourself, is my recommendation in general. And the final, most difficult part, is changing your habits.

Habits, as the one Buddhism book I read so far has taught me, show how we truly are, because it reflects how we would react in more situations than just being in the presence of your crush or whatever.

If we choose to use an analogy with the scientific method here, we cannot determine that we have changed unless we can prove the hypothesis that we have done things differently enough times to say that maybe, just maybe we might have changed. We're still open to suggestion. It could be proved wrong at any time.

So in that way, changing our habits, changing the way we would react in most situations, we can change ourselves.
