My current HTTYD books detail fixation is that I can't stop thinking about how of all the youth, Camicazi is the most like Hiccup II.

I thought this the SECOND they described Hiccup II as a bit of a blonde wild child.
Imo it then makes me question, could Fishlegs be like Hiccup I? cuz if so it would be the most beautiful ironic thing in the world cuz it would mean OUR Hiccup, Hiccup III, would be aided on his quests to bring peace between dragons and humans by friends who mirror his namesake
Kinda like the past is silently trying to help him right the wrongs they couldn't
I LOVE THIS IDEA SO MUCH. Also It was because of Camicazi's suggestion that they go steal from the library that Hiccup first found out about Hiccup II (this is directly pointed out 'If Toothless and Camicazi hadn't drawn him into the library labyrinth, he would never have discovered he had a secret ancestor[...]'. And in Book 8 Snotlout brings up the story of Chinhilda not being able to find Hiccup II in a way where he seems to be trying to scare Hiccup into thinking Camicazi will not be found alive (and its paralelled in general to Bertha searching for Camicazi) and they go near the bay of the broken heart and find the throne while looking for Camicazi. And Hiccup only finds Camicazi right after he learns the story of Hiccup II.
