Łęcka miała 25 lat a Wokulski 46.
Do you think, that should've given more characters from the main cast time to shine? I really like your show and like all of the characters, but sometimes some of them feel left out. But maybe that's just me, who knows
Yeah I'd agree with that, it's just a lot bigger of an undertaking than I'm sure a lot of people realize when you're the only writer and juggling so many different departments at once. It would have required more episodes, time, and stamina. Something I wasn't exactly graced with, being only Glitch's second creator driven show. I would have needed more writers and co-directors, because writing and directing even just 9 episodes basically killed me.
It's also a miracle I was allowed to make episode 9 as long as it was, because one thing a producer never ever wants to hear is "I'd like to make this longer." There will always be an incentive to cut things down over fleshing things out. Thankfully if I do another one of these, a lot of the kinks will hopefully be worked out from the beginning. Hopefully.
it bothers me that you often don't really hear about people having a "favorite album" the way they might have a favorite movie or favorite video game
fuck it. reblog this and tell me in the tags what your favorite album is
My top 5 (no order because it’s really a day to day feeling thing) are
The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess - Chappell Roan
It Seems to Me - Hibou
Queen of Texas - Solya
The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We - Mitski
Happier Than Ever - Billie Eilish
the last stand - sabaton
puberty 2 - mitski
miłość w czasach popkultury - myslovitz
oh my - mother mother
We all know transfem Jax is the intended reading of his character now, but are we still allowed to hold other interpretations that maybe we've had for a long time? (genderfluid Jax, GNC cis Jax, etc...)
It's just sad to see so many people being attacked and harassed out of the fandom right now even while they acknowledge and fully respect Jax being trans just because they have a different interpretation of him

jax being this sentient blob now makes me so uncomfortable /in a good way/
that used to be a person
tadc ,,fans" on tiktok will claim the show has terrible writing and then not understand what a flashback is
however i just remembered that some bj horseman fans genuinely blame penny so. perhaps i was too harsh
this is probably so nit-picky and annoying, but whenever someone calls javert a bad cop it makes me go a little bit insane. it completely undermines his character and his entire reason in the story. he is the perfect cop, and that is why he is a bad person.
he is ruthless and cruel. he thinks entirely in black and white and follows the letter of the law like it is gospel. in the book he is our conduit into the justice system, he is it’s face and its name. he is the law personified. shaped and moulded into the perfect blank slate, being fed information and believing it blindly, doing exactly as he’s told without question. he is exactly what the system was made to create.
by calling him a bad cop it removes the very purposeful intent behind his character. it makes it seem as though the systematic violence and oppression which he enforces, and the ways in which he enforces it, are personal choices - even mistakes. when in reality they are the actions of a completely unjust governmental system, working as it is intended to.
"bad cops" are not made by personal choice, they are moulded and formed by the system to have no mercy or kindness. the worst people make the best cops, because cops were never meant to uphold societal niceties.

just walked out of tadc finale...........
its the best and the worst
jane eyre is a book i like a lot but also have intense feelings about bc i don’t interpret Rochester as a ‘sweet good guy hiding behind an intimidating shell’ and i dislike adaptations and retellings which try to soften him or make him out to be an aggrieved victim of society. the entire point of the novel imo is that Jane, in grasping her autonomy and personhood, decides to put her personal happiness and passion over expectations of ‘perfect moral womanhood’.
she rejects the virtuous, religious suitor who wants to devote their lives to missionary work and chooses Rochester, the man who treats her like an intellectual equal and who shares her dark sense of humor and fascination with wild things.
Rochester is not a good, upright guy. While he should be commended for not consigning his wife to an asylum where she’d be tortured and abused, he keeps her shut up in a dark attic cell and freely admits he married her primarily for her money and that he never tried to understand her as a person even before her mental illness.
The loss of his hand and the burn scars inflicted on him during the climax are absolutely supposed to carry moral judgment. He lied to and manipulated Jane, imprisoned his wife (who he hates), and just because he comes to see Jane as an equal, it doesn’t mean he suddenly believes men and women should share the same rights and privileges. He is still very much a man of his time and culture. But the point is that Jane’s life is so narrow and so limited that the only real way for her to experience some joy and freedom is to embrace Rochester, even if he’s a bastard. He loves her and she loves him.
Being with him will probably not make her a better person, but it will bring her pleasure, and it will be her choice, not something coerced or demanded of her. It complicates the ending of the book. Rochester’s a beast. But Jane is no angel either, and only by accepting this does she find peace with herself.
Personally, I am still not a fan of that solution. The book holds a certain truth, yet completely disappoints me at the end.
First, most women would not be able to attain that money, like Jane did. Material property is a big factor in a relationship. The partner, who has the money, calls the shots. The solution comes across as a fairy-tale-ending, therefore. So in other circumstances, men, who had usually more property, would still determine the relationship.
Second, The marriage of a man like Rochester is actually very dangerous. Rochester abused his former wife, Bertha. I know, the delusional approach, how the bad man just needs the "right woman", but this is actually not the case in reality.
An abusive man continues his abusive streak. Yet Jane pretends like her marriage is good and sweet. This is so unrealistic, that it breaks my suspension of disbelief easily.
Charlotte had to create an ideal scenario, where the "equality", that she wished for, could have happened, yet, it was mostly unrealistic in that time.
I think, I would have bought it more, if she had found a man - at least, who had a better character and not abusive Rochester.
he did not abuse her
He abused his other wife. And yes, he hurt and manipulated Jane.
he did not abuse bertha
