i may be dumb and i may be insecure but at least i’m not this manlet who interpreted “short” as an attack on his height instead of as blunt or abrupt
I will never stop hating football.
one thing i find really exciting is that we’re among the first generation of women who never marry or have children, and with that comes a completely new blueprint
in past generations, virtually every woman was relegated to wife (slave) and mother (the most thankless job in the world) by 25
we’re going to be the first generation of women who can genuinely dedicate our lives to hobbies, travel, intellectual pursuits, meaningful careers, skill building, cultural immersion, fitness, volunteering and female friendships
it’s beautiful — imagine just how much women will be able to accomplish now that we can live life for ourselves, unburdened by marriage, motherhood and a patriarch in our homes controlling us or exploiting us domestically/sexually/mentally/emotionally
and, of course, we will keep fighting until all our sisters globally are freed

I am so sick of the myth that "men suffer in silence," because the reality is they don't do anything in silence. A man cannot occupy a physical, social or emotional space without expanding to consume it entirely. From manspreading on public transit to demanding the emotional labor of everyone around them, their existence is inherently loud, invasive and deeply entitled. They move through the world expecting the entire room to shift around their comfort, forcing women to literally jump out of the sidewalk just to avoid harassment.
The idea that they are quiet, silent sufferers is a joke when you look at how much room they violently and casually steal every single day. If a man is inconvenienced, the whole world has to hear about it. If he is angry everyone around him has to manage his behavior. They don't suffer in silence. They make their presence, their entitlement and their general audacity everyone else's problem by default, and then expect a medal for "enduring" a world built entirely for them.
it’s always like ”what someone else does to their appearance doesn’t affect you”. but it does though. that’s how social norms work. if everyone does [x] then [x] will be expected of me too. and i selfishly don’t want a lower salary for not wearing makeup, for not dying my hair when it goes grey, for not getting fillers.
Women are too divided and exclusionary toward each other for a women only movement to truly succeed. I’m not saying I’m perfect, but the way women will exclude other women for being sex workers, mothers, heterosexual, having different opinions, or not being radical enough creates a problem. If the goal is to build a movement for women, it has to include all women.
Men’s misogynistic movements (and I’m not saying this to praise them) often appear stronger because they don’t usually exclude other men from joining. Even when they disagree, they tend to keep them within the movement and place them into different categories rather than removing them entirely. They understand that collective power requires having more people involved. These groups aren’t free of internal conflicts either; they still divide over things like ideology, race, religion, class, leadership, and tactics. However, they often prioritize a shared goal over their differences, which can make them appear more unified.
I feel like if women could do the same and build around a common goal instead of constantly excluding each other, movements like “I hate men” or women centered movements would have a stronger chance of succeeding. A movement that excludes too many potential supporters will struggle to gain enough power to create large scale change. The broader the coalition, the more disagreement it will have to accept, while smaller movements may be more consistent ideologically but will also have less reach.
the problem with you people is that y’all will see an actual feminist critique women’s behavior and start clutching your pearls. this entire take is not only redundant and ridiculous, but like always, it misses the fucking point of feminism and the argument about shaving. feminism is not about the right to choose and nobody is shaming women for shaving. what we are saying is that you guys like to hide behind the “right to choose” instead of thinking critically about why you do that. you do that because you have been conditioned and taught to “like it” rather than it being more of a genuine choice like men. furthermore, seeing how bent out of shape some of you get when your “feminist” choice is critiqued only goes further to show how deeply engrained this is in our minds that women should be shaving. feminists before you did not fight for you to give in to patriarchal beauty norms and i am so sick of you guys lying and being delusional to make yourselves feel better 🙄🙄

i just heard someone tell me again how much more they love their male gynecologist. "oh the women were so rough but the men were so nice" Why are you so fucking stupid? Why do you think they decided to work on vaginas when they themselves don't have one? "Because his mother died of cervical cancer so he's passionate about gynecology" stfu. if your dad died of prostate cancer would give prostate exams?
u rly gotta ask urself as a woman is that ur natural voice or have u learned to pitch your natural voice up. im being fr so many do it without realizing
Here is a position that, for some reason, really triggers some people (usually men).
It goes like this:
Women being trafficked and forced into prostitution is an atrocity and should be stopped - at this point everyone is still in agreement.
What happens to them is rape - everyone pretty much agrees with this still.
And then: If there are EXTREMELY OBVIOUS warning signs that the prostitute in question is likely a victim of trafficking*, every single john who had sex with her anyway should be prosecuted for rape.
So many people froth at the mouth at the mere suggestion. They get furious if you suggest that this should be the law. But I think nothing could be more reasonable. Trafficking and forced prostitution flourishes because "normal" johns do not care if the prostitute they are paying is there voluntarily. They do not have to care (unless, maybe, if she is underage). Nothing will happen to him.
I say: Make johns deathly afraid of a prostitute possibly being trafficked. I want it to ruin lives to rape a woman who is clearly being forced to prostitute herself.
But no, apparently that's a horrible and hateful stance to have.
*and I am talking about basic, very obvious things like: cannot name the city she is in (yes, when German police broke up one of the repulsive "mega brothels", they said that many of the young women did not know the city they were in), cannot communicate with you in a shared language, CRIES, is or has recently been injured in some way
So annoying to me when people think citing the actions of FICTIONAL female characters counts as evidence that femininity doesn't hold women back. "Omg, she can run and fight with heels and a dress! What an icon, I can't even walk in heels." She is not real, and therefore her body doesn't follow the same laws that ours do. She will do whatever the writers want her to, because she is ANIMATED. And even if the actor is a real person, the scene is choreographed, rehearsed and edited with CGI. It's fake!
the year is 2035. the new beauty standard is for women to cut their ears off, as ears are a masculine trait which make the face look too big and hearing isnt necessary as it doesnt align with being demure. evil feminists say perhaps this is unnecessary and ears are natural. women are agressively proclaiming they are cutting their ears off due to sensory issues
