the new house is fantastic. we are slowly but surely getting it together. we're going to paint the bedroom in a couple of weeks. i mean we are still using plastic storage tubs as nightstands, but you gotta start somewhere. we bought furniture for the screened in sun porch that's attached to the bedroom and had coffee out there last weekend while it was raining. the cats were in heaven, though there were maybe more bugs than charlotte would have liked. (but it's ok i like bugs and patiently rehoming them.)

also. hmm. how has married life changed things for me... i eat a lot more ice cream than i used to. we inherited a ninja creami and we've made some fantastic ice cream with it. before we moved in together, i ate like one pint of ice cream every two months. but this is a life change i can accept. ice cream is very good.

i also know a lot - a lot - more about hockey than i ever thought i would. i've watched so many hockey games now. my brain is full of names and facts about players. but that's ok. but i am simultaniously making charlotte watch old Survivor seasons and The West Wing with me.
