We let cis people do all manner of shit to their bodies that are largely irreversible* and that they might regret, including gender affirming care like boob jobs, bbls, vaginoplasties, penile enhancement, testosterone, steroids... you can disfigure yourself so that your nose caves in, your face is immobile, your ass is so big you cant get in to wipe properly, your breasts are so big your skin can't contain them, dick surgeries that very often have severe risk of deformities, and even do many procedures at once that end up killing you.

But the moment you say these procedures are because you don't identify as the gender assigned at birth, "oh no, what if you have regrets?!"

* obviously these procedures can be "undone" to a degree, but you will never get back the body you would have otherwise had without these procedures.

Taylor Swift's Wedding is one of her best performances yet. An Anti-Wedding for the Antihero, which has kept her name solidly in the discourse even with 250th anniversary celebrations & The World Cup. Numerous aspects of the celebration confused and confounded both new Swifties and longtime Swifties alike… but one group of fans who was not surprised by this are the Performance Artlors.

While we arent a monolith with solely one perspective, in general we believe that what we see of Taylor is act where she is playing a PERSONA in order to tell a specific narrative. This is very similar to stuff Lady Gaga has done but because Taylor’s artistic persona uses her legal name Taylor Swift, fans recognize it less. People also broadly don't think shes capable of that artistry and don't pay attention when she said that she would do a LOT to prove a point.

But Taylor is a very capable artist who commands a variety of artistic mediums, who is highly regarded by some of the most talented people in show biz and at a time in her career where she’s increasingly thinking about legacy, and putting a mark on the world that future haters cannot erase. It makes sense she’s planning bigger things than dating the boy on the football team. And I don't mean marrying him, either.

This is why I refuse to see an OBgyn bc theyre too hardwired to protect fertility at all costs. I only see gyns who do not handle pregnancy. I don't want to endure treatments with minimal chance to improve my symptoms if there are more effective treatments that they're reluctant to use bc they can cause fertility issues. And it's not always malevolent, it's just they have a usual order of operations they go through and may not think to deviate.

Best advice: if you don't want children & have gynecological health issues, try and find a doctor who specializes in your symptoms if at all possible.

I had severe pelvic pain, and after years of ineffective treatments from obgyns, I went to see a gyn pain specialist who did not deliver babies or do prenatal care. For the first time the focus was on my wellbeing not what a man or a future baby could possibly one day want from me.

One of the aspects of Taylor that I feel people notice the least is her wicked sense of humor because nobody trolls us like her. There's an idea in Swiftie spaces that there's nothing more loathsome than Gaylors & our theories. But the deeper you dig into Taylor's work, & the more attention you pay to the queer figures she references, the more you'll realize how Taylor-- & many celebs before her-- have hidden in plain sight. And the more clear it becomes that the continued hate train against Gaylors is motivated by homophobia, not a good faith attempt to "protect" Taylor.

There's a reason that Taylor is one of the only celebs whose PR person is known by name to many fans, and why we only see Taylor and Travis when one or both of them has a big career moment they're trying to sell for fans, or when one of them is collaborating with a large brand. TayVis and the added attention and money that it provoked is a huge element of why Eras Tour was able to make enough for Taylor to repurchase her master's rights. And the entire charade is a great example of TayCapitalism: how Taylor is able to make the money she needs by selling fans a story they want to believe in, regardless of how many contradictions are occurring.

Something that has frequently frustrated me is the way Taylor get erased from her own narrative, things that were signs and symbols of her and her career get reassigned to the men she’s dated publicly. Never has this been more prominent than with TayVis, and the way the color red, the letter T, the Archer & so much more have been co-opted as signs of Travis.

But that’s not enough, the crowd is chanting more.

Stans were giddy when they saw an artist label an envelope Mrs Taylor Kelce… give up her name.

Stans were excited when Eras Tour was done cause her career wouldn’t interfere with her being sidelines at every one of Travis’ games… give up her job.

Stans were thrilled every time they thought Taylor had a little belly, every time they saw her and she didn’t have an alcoholic beverage… give up her body.

All of her work and all that she is gets centered around whichever male muse fans are hard for at any given moment.

Hence the recent comments she made about Paternity Testing: trying to find the one man they believe was behind the creation of her songs, even to the erasure of Taylor in her own corpus.
