Emily Wilson has inadvertently created a fascinating new way to categorize basically any visual media ever made
rip to the guy who posted his very expensive yixing teapot to r/tea, only for the comments to be not compliments on his taste as he expected, but instead GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLY and I SHOULD CALL HER. he then crossposted it to r/gongfutea, which is ordinarily more dignified and self-serious, but was it? was it?? of course not, because this is reddit, and this was the teapot
its not reccomended amd probably not legal but in a pinch a coyote can be your plus one to most events
strange product found in the scotmid co-op today...
here it is:
ok so: this DOES actually look more like fried chicken than the picture suggested, however, it looks like fried chicken that's been severely overcooked. a different cookie crumb would really improve this product. something like a biscoff crumb. not the type of cookie that's famous for looking like soot when crushed.
alright hang on i googled the manufacturer. important information!!
this would appear to be the oreo-flavoured variant of a more convincingly chicken looking product. this explains a lot!
in terms of eating experience: a little cumbersome BUT, very tasty! it was quite a lot tho - i have a pretty sweet tooth and i would have preferred this in a smaller portion. seems to be a German company which makes sense as continental european chocolate products are generally of a higher standard than what's made in the UK.
i dont care for their logo tho.

nickname poll
So currently I answer to my full first name (which I usually introduce myself with) as well as two nicknames/diminutives plus my last name when people mistake it for a first name. There are two or three other nicknames I've also gone by in the past. I'm perfectly fine with this, or neutral at minimum-- I have a common name and have had to be flexible with how I'm distinguished for my whole life. I also don't feel a deep and fundamental connection of my name with my identity, though I think going by another name entirely would confuse me.
A number of friends have been appalled at me being called names I don't say are my name. Which is really weird to me, although I'd go to battle for anyone else who was getting either deadnamed or called something they didn't want. But this perspective seems surprisingly common!
How do you feel about being called something other than the name you introduce yourself with?
I think it's fun if people give me (non-derogatory) nicknames or shorten my name
I don't care if people call me something else and will answer to it
I'm mildly uncomfortable or annoyed but won't make an issue of it
I HATE being called something else and will always correct people
