Forlex were a very anti-climactic break up.

Forrest told Alex that he was Deep Sky and that DS were going to try to recruit him, Forrest didn’t want Alex to join because they planned to send him deep undercover… so Forrest left town for his book tour and asked Alex to come with him but because Alex didn’t go… they just completely immediately forgot Forrest ever existed

A week* later, Alex and Michael kissed and all their issues/problems magically disappeared

*it was 7 episodes but only about 10 days in RNM timeline

I’m probably late answering this but I stopped watching this trash series. Everything that happened in this show was garbage. All ships were trash and just for viewership and keeping people watching. They even needed to being in OG Roswell cast to keep the viewers. This show should be an example of what not to do with a reboot. Also just for fucks sake any ship with Alex was toxic. I don’t have to see it to know it was toxic. Read Roswell High and watch the OG Roswell Series on Tubi and forget this nightmare of a show ever existed.

It’s funny the timing of this reply because I ended up down a rabbit hole just last week which made me remember how good s1 was.

Was it perfect? No. Was it better than the OG? No. But it *was* done well.

Unfortunately, it very quickly fell off the wagon in s2 and I also dropped the show mid-season 3.

I also spent this weekend purging my phone of all the RNM gifs I had saved (fuck, there was a lot from s1!)

Sadly I can’t be completely impartial as I did read the Roswell High books back when RNM was airing and I just couldn’t really get into them. I did read all 10 so I could get the entire story but part of me will always hold the original tv series in high regard (I still own the dvds!)

So personally I really feel that RNM had so much potential to be a better show but squandered it and it now just lives in my mind as the show that could’ve been but didn’t.
