What do you mean we have our answer? I’m confused lol

One of the original anons said that the very day Jessie and Rhett made their anniversary post, Link posted on Instagram a James and the Shame song with heavy lyrics as usual, as well as their song with the hugely ambiguous title “Inside a Man’s Body”.

I didn’t want to immediately assume this moment was suspicious so I asked whether it’s typical of Link to post James and the Shame songs and songs from their scripted videos.

All the following Anons responded to me that it’s very atypical of Link to post anything on Instagram, let alone Rhett’s heavy songs or their own at times suggestive songs.

So I said we got our answer, meaning that yes, indeed it’s curious that Link chose the day of Rhett’s anniversary post to start posting meaningful songs of theirs, whereas he typically neither posts nor posts such stuff.

Imagine liking your best friend’s anniversary post and then immediately sharing his song with lyrics like

If I find the exit

I'll push open the door

I don't mind the alarm, anymore

Maybe I don't belong here

I think I'm supposed to like this

And I'm pretty sure I just figured out that I don't.

I think it’s safe to acknowledge that it is at least a curious incident.

People are so monogamy-brained that they can't even comprehend people loving two people what is going on... It's obvious that they love their wives! Is that why there's so much hate? Everyone thinks that if you believe in rhink, you also believe they hate their wives? It weirds me out how much weight people put on still image posts and captions on insta etc though. Rhett and Jessie have been together on vlogs, ear biscuits, other podcasts where you can see the love and the other emotions in their interactions. That's not to say that they aren't being genuine or something like that, but it's very easy to be performative for a post on instagram. It's a nice loving gesture, but it's always strange to me when people read so far into something like that or a two words in a text post where you can't get any of the tone or expressions. Meanwhile no reading into anything else that's illegal.

I think it ruins their image of Rhett and Link as the ideal family men. In this case, I admit I am monogamy-brained too because of certain small hints we have had over time and also because Link is blatantly a raging monogamous man. So I tend to interpret things about them from a monogamous lens although I acknowledge that Rhett could potentially be far closer to polyamory / polygamy than Link is.

But I also believe there is a lot of performative behaviour.

The thing is nobody entertains the possibility that it’s not a dipole where either they hate their wives or they are perfectly conscious polyamorous people where they love both each other and the wife to death. The most realistic scenarios are IMO somewhere in the middle, for example they can care for their wives deeply as friends and partners for decades and as mothers of their children without being crazy in love with them or they may still have romantic / sexual feelings for them but not to an equal degree or they might be torn and cannot decide (Rhett may be such a case) etc The possibilities are so many, I don’t agree with going with the far end of each possibility like “oh they hate their wives” or “oh they are just a super happy big polyamorous family”.

And when they do that type of comedy it's clear, is funny and has no meaning. That's separate from what people are picking up on, especially like the things they say that aren't jokes or comedic in tone.

Earlier in the week, I found a promo photo for Series 1 (i think) that was amazingly bad. Totally terrible for all kinds of reasons. I did my take on it to see if I could improve it.

So there are actually plenty of Sherlock promo images that look like garbage. I'm guessing they released them for some other purpose? Regardless, I decided to try my hand at another.

May I present to you this nightmare.

I am thinking here that this was a sample that was never finished. There is no reason for this image to have been posted or produced unless they had just ditched it for other photos being better. It was probably unneeded and they didn't bother making it look any better.

Could I live with that?

No.

This is my version. I had to layer colours from so many different sources... Just to try to get their skin tones even remotely close. I tried to capture layer by layer different elements. I pulled the shadows separately from the highlights and manipulated them as layer effects. I removed the bizarre shine with the healing brush and some texture tools.

It took about five hours to do. I'm not 100% satisfied, I'd try to improve the background and the blue level balance. But I had to put it down to go to bed.

Actually! So we do know this was a supplied pic!

I just found out that this was out there on the web because of the lovely @nixxie-pic who used to bring us just fantastic images posted or sold at cons. This one was from Sherlocked 2015.

And entirely ignoring how long it must have taken to prepare the images for viewing, people would steal the images from their blog, put them out there and take off the watermark... so sorry for not crediting you nixxie!!! I didn't realize!!!

I finally found the image with the watermark HERE (all the links back to @nixxie-fic blog are now broken, that iteration of nixxie’s blog has been sunset).

I'll be sure to credit nixxie next time I find an image like this!

It’s 6AM, I am laying on the bed. In the next house there is an old lady living with hearing issues and every morning she blasts the radio in the balcony for a little while. Usually it annoys me, but yesterday and today the radio has been playing the new songs of the Rolling Stones.

Think about it. What a thing to experience.

But haven’t Rhett and link dispelled the ship rumors many times? I used to be a larry but once it was clear how much the rumors bothered them (especially Louis), I stopped feeding into it. Larry ruined their friendship and I just don’t want that to happen to Rhett and link. Although I don’t think that would happen to them because they’re much older and more mature, I just can’t imagine people shipping me and my best friend like that. I feel like it would get awkward.

Rhett and Link have refused to be an item but what was the alternative? They are married with children.

Despite that, they confusingly seem to feed or inflame shipping assumptions, not directly, but with things they choose to do, like shooting videos in which they wank behind the same bush, roll on the floor pressing head to toe entirely naked, doing heavily sexual and inebriated adult shows like GME etc.

My philosophy is that your chances of getting your friendship (or your marriage) ruined are lower when it's just some strangers far away making assumptions for you than when you elect on your own to press bodies with the bestie entirely naked for the world to see.
