With how much fun I had making my own version of Angel’s bedroom, I wanted to continue, next with our creepy crawly girl Niffty!🐛
For anyone wondering. She's residing within the janitorial room of the hotel. Not like she wasn't offered a regular room but likes it for the certain conveniences. On the other sides where the actual cleaning supplies & other typical janitor stuff is, with a sink where she washes up/stores her personal toiletries. Hence why there’s some cleaning/bug killing products on her shelf. She uses them both professionally & casually. And I haven’t thought fully of it yet but I imagine she etheir bathes/uses the can somewhere else within the hotel or Alastor manifested her own personal bathroom in the room for her. Def inspired a bit from 50’s furniture/decor. Def a girl attached to a bit of that past nostalgia, for better or for worse.
With her much smaller size, decided to put her bed into a compartment on her shelf. Filled with a polkadot sleeping bag with a matching pillow & stuffies🧸
She’s also made plushies of the people around her, fav at the moment Baxter 🐟
like the spider elements for Angel’s room, I wanted to allude to Niffty being a centipede/involved with insects 🐜🐛🐞 def wanted to show that with stuff such as the bed plushies, decor, etc. though compared to his room it’s much more subtle(it’s not exactly a part of her, she brags about for reasons).
I wanted to show her interest with sewing more with the embroidery decor, personal lil crafts table, temari ball(Japanese embroidery ball she made herself), knitting basket, and stuffed dolls she made herself! She also has a mannequin she uses as a model when she’s making new outfits. She may occasionally also stab it when “releasing tension”🔪 🪡
Added some Japanese elements such as the tatami mat & chair, flowers on her bin, the daruma doll, the temari ball & the kotatsu with the flower arrangement(ikebana) to show some ties into her Japanese roots, even with the “American style” she had to adapt.🇯🇵
A lil lore on the Daruma Doll. They’re used for wishes. U think of your wish when u fill out one eye, then you fill out the other when it comes true! Plus they can come in other colors, not just red. Different colors have different meaning. U can probably guess what the pinks about @the-burd-lord made this for me💖.
Got a clock radio(50’s rule) I imagine was a gift from Al that may or may not be a vintage Vox-Tech appliance back in the day before he got more modernized📻
Wanted to show lil bits of her “bad boy” interest with some pinups, sexy fireman calendar(git the idea from @stillwaitin76. The pinup’s Rocky(the bull coworker of Angel). She’s also got a body pillow of him she tries to hide from other people(that long pillow peaking from her bed)
Added a hell plant by the vent(that she def goes into hence the lack of bottom bolts) that doesn’t need too much light along with the decoration on her table. Beside it’s one of those crystal bead fresheners(lemon scent 🍋)
Like Angel, she’s also got a record player(very 50’s iconic)! Has a lot of love songs, 50’s stuff & even some Japanese songs. Above is an Elvis Presley Incubi impersonator poster! Hellvis Presley!
For her books I added a lot of cleaning/cooking and housewife guide books(the housewife one’s a reference to a 50’s article, Good Wife’s Guide) 📚 aswell as a scrapbook for her memories, arts n craft book, writing book & personal diary 📔
Under her bed/bookshelf’s where she stores her fanfic/fanart she creates along with her “collection”.
Added some string lights to add some warmth into the place.
