Hey so I came to know about your youtube channel. It seems like a fantastic idea to me to spread mbti via video blogging. I am an INTJ and i have been wanting to make youtube videos mbti related for a looong time but I never. had a team like you guys have. So a few weeks back I made my own channel called INTJmusings. I have managed to make 2 videos so far but I would like to join your channel. Let me know what you think.

As long as you feel your English is good enough to be understood on camera and you feel like you can easily discuss with people then that’s fine.

Can anybody apply to the youtube channel? Is there a criteria before applying?
There is an application followed by a Skype interview, so everyone we take does have a solid understanding of MBTI theory and cognitive functions. Some members are also well versed in other personality theories but this is not a necessity. There is a link to full criteria on the left side of our blog. However applications are currently closed.

The main aMBTIon chat is made up of everyone who’s part of the channel, yes.
Why is your application so violently binary?
This has been discussed, and at the time we decided to leave it for the moment and re-discuss if we had any non-binary applicants. We apologise for any offence caused. Originally it was the simplest way to ensure we could get the views of more than one of each type and of different genders.The gender of the applicant would in no way have impacted whether or not they would be recruited, but would just have prompted further discussion about how exactly to organise the group without ending up with too many people of each type (because you understand that having someone of every gender and every type would leave us with quite a large and hectic group).
In short, our application is flawed. We accept responsibility for that. And now that we are finally getting ourselves organised it will be one of our top priorities to find a solution and make it more inclusive.
