I've been on tumblr almost a decade (gross) and I think I'm finally about done with it. I only open it very briefly every few days. I think I've been blocked by a lot of funny content blogs and the serious ones feel exhausting lately. It's a little sad because of how much I've been in this little loop but also kind of a relief for that vice grip to loosen! I love my job, have a bunch of hobbies, and happier than ever- that turns out to take a lot of time! I never posted , just reblogged. But as my activity lessens, know that I am well, and that I have a fondness for the little names that have popped up on here for me for so long.
My opinion of someone instantly lowers when they use "karen" in all seriousness. You're basic, you're tacky, you're corny, you lack depth, you're a sheep, you live in a bubble.
it sure fucking is buddy
Can the women out there who opt out of body hair removal reblog this? We can show people that we exist, and show others that theyâre not alone.Â

So you are for ableist eugenic abortion and the selective abortion of female fetuses?
This is a logical fallacy known as a loaded question.
What youâre deliberately avoiding is the root of the problems you are suggesting, and conflating individual choice with systemic problems. Youâre obfuscating the issue so as to derail the topic.
In simple terms: a womanâs choice to end a pregnancy is influenced by, but should not be dependent upon, the society in which she makes her choice. If she is living in a country which views women as property or as lesser than men, she might be more likely to abort a female fetus. If she lives in an ableist society, she might be more likely to abort a child with a real or perceived disability.
But what possible good could come from forcing women to have all fetuses come to term as far as those issues? Would forcing a woman to carry a child to term that would have, to use myself as an example, bipolar disorder, make anyone more accepting of bipolar disorder? Would forcing a woman in a culture that treats female people like trash to bear a female infant make her culture any less likely to throw the baby in the garbage?
No, it wouldnât. Restricting womenâs rights to make decisions would have no positive impact on any prejudices. It simply pretends that those prejudices are the fault of women and mothers.Â
I support abortion in all cases. Societal issues are not solved and wars are not won in a womanâs womb. That organ is hers and hers alone, whatever she believes.Â
If youâre interested in creating real change on other issues, I suggest you find a better battleground than womenâs flesh.Â

Reina del Cid is one of my favorite musicians. Her YouTube has some amazing covers.
But this Star Trek engineering rap is just delightful.

suzanne collins is such a genius... the cultural phenomena of her series leading to the hanging tree house remixes, mockingjay being milked for two (bad) movies, the capitol-inspired makeup palettes, the halloween costumes, the explosion of the market for dystopia, the butchering of her characters and removal of disabilities, disfiguration, and racial tension + representation to sell more tickets, the extra gale scenes to fuel discourse, and the audience showing up to cinemas to watch what was pretty honestly marketed to them (the jacob vs edwardification of the symbolic love story and also to watch children fight to the death) it's just so ridiculously ironic i would say you can't write this shit, but she did write about it... in The Hunger Games published 2008
man. remember early in the pandemic, shortly into the telework phase, when a lot of women started vocalizing âwow, i didnt realize just how much time, energy, and even money i was wasting on dolling myself up for work every damn morning, until i didnât have to do it anymore. i donât think iâll go back to doing that when we return to the office? i wonât be a slob or anything, of course, iâm just not going to go out of my way to look pretty at work"Â and then,
so many people proceeded to lose every last crumb of their shit about it, writing the most asinine crybaby articles ever where they were just. utterly horrified by the possibility that more and more women might become comfortable looking natural/plain and completely opting out of the expectation to look as appealing as possible at all times, even when all theyâre doing is spending all day in a cubicle. that was bonkers. lmao.
some ladies were like âduring lockdown, i saw myself in the mirror without makeup much more often, and got used to it, so now i donât feel as anxious for others to see me without makeup on either. iâm comfortable with the face i have, itâs fine just the way it isâ
and some absolute dork ass losers heard this and went âtruly, this is the death of femininityâ

This morning I asked the postwoman (who is my local Google) if she knew of a valiant farrier who might be willing to trim the hooves of my wildly recalcitrant donkey (I already saw one farrier, who wouldnât even try), and she said âIâll give you the name of a good farrier. Sheâs a very, very strong woman. Very muscular. She can pick up your donkey and make him sit in a corner if he doesnât behaveâ isnât life marvellous sometimes
