Little Ramble:
I got super inspired from Katsuya Terada's works when scrolling for the official arts. Out of the whole Zelda aesthetics, era of Legend is my fav for it's medieval fantasy + folklore-ish style (OoT & Majora seconded). Tried to reimagine the Triforce room + mixing Zelda's ALBW and ALTTP design (more medieval! More "grandma's heritage" heavy gold accessories!).
Dudes healthcare is so fake. My ADHD meds are $940 without insurance. But they gave me a website of "coupons" which straight up looks like a scam website, and I got it today for $60! Just a coupon from a random website and it was $900 cheaper. America, I am confusion!! America explain!!

as a pharmacy technician i can share with you some websites that give you those "coupons" for your meds!
goodrx is the most well known one, but if i'm trying to find the cheapest price for a patient i compare it to scriptcycle, and use whichever is offering the best price. you just type in the medication (PLEASE make sure you're getting the right drug, dosage, and quantity) and your zip code and they will spit out some offers for you
some pharmacies may have their own discount card to compare to as well!
if you are getting a name brand medication, you can also look at the manufacturer's website to see if they offer any evouchers for you to use too

There's something genuinely inspiring about seeing a bunch of fanart and microfiction and deep meta analysis about a character you've never heard of cross your dash, and you assume they're from a piece of media you're not caught up on, but later you learn that it's some random person's OC that six of their friends are super enthusiastic about, and they only seem omnipresent because you happen to be following like three of those six friends. There truly is no minimum viable size for a character-based fandom.

I come to humbly ask for tips on how to survive in the cruel world that is 1986 Hyrule
I haven’t played it in a while but here’s some random things I remember?? Maybe they’ll help.
-basically avoid fighting unless it’s necessary. Sometimes it’s worth fighting some guys (like if you need money or hearts) but usually it’s not XD higher-level enemies do tend to drop more money and stuff though, so keep that in mind.
-adding to the first point, learning how to bob and weave is your best friend. Avoid enemies. Run like the wind! Try and watch them to figure out how they move, and use their movements against them! I find trying to sneak up behind and thwack a bunch before they notice you is a good technique.
-also HAVING FULL HEARTS IS VERY HELPFUL. If you have full hearts then you can shoot a sword beam and not even have to go NEAR a monster in order to kill them. It’s my favorite technique.
-buy a big shield. fr. It’s a life saver, it deflects a lot of stuff. You just have to watch out for likelikes because then you have to buy a big shield AGAIN. Also certain shops have different prices so shop around a little to find the cheapest one
-I like having a potion on hand personally, but it’s sometimes not worth the money. If you can find an old guy in a bush or a secret moblin who’ll give you money then that’s nice though!
-OH I almost forgot, if you’re in a dungeon then when you first go into a new room, you can hide in a doorway and the enemies won’t hit you! (Except for the handful that have projectiles and can go over walls and stuff, but the majority can’t. Especially helpful for darknuts)
Also. Just explore. Think about where you might be able to place a bomb for a secret area, for example, for additional treasure. Same with arrows, boomerang, and other items.
If you've played or will play Hyrule Warriors (og wii u, legends on 3ds or definitive edition on Switch) adventure map, the item cards on the 1st map relate to Zelda 1, secrets (where you use an item card on the map square) are located in either the same or close to the same spots as Zelda 1. So you could technically look up a guide for where to use the item cards for Hyrule Warrior's 1st adventure map to help with that.

There's an EU initiative going on right now that essentially boils down to wanting to force videogame publishers with paid games and/or games with paid elements such as DLC, expansions and microtransactions to leave said games in a playable state after they end support, or in simpler terms, make them stop killing games.
A "playable state" would be something like an offline mode for previously always online titles, or the ability for people to host their own servers where reasonably possible just to name some examples.
I don't think I need to tell anyone that having something you paid for being taken from you is bad, which is a thing that routinely happens with live service and other always online games with a notable recent example being The Crew which is now permanently unplayable.
Any EU citizen is eligible to sign the initiative, but only once and if you mess up that's it. You can find it here. (https://citizens-initiative.europa.eu/initiatives/details/2024/000007_en)
Even if you're not European or you signed it already, you can share this initiative with anyone who is, even if they don't care about videogames specifically because this needs a million signatures and there is different thresholds that need to be met for each EU country for their votes to even count and could also be a precedent for other similar practices like when Sony removed a bunch of Discovery TV content people paid for.
This would be great. Recommended for my EU followers.

Have you ever had a knot or tangle in a metal chain? Especially the very fine ones, it can be impossible to work them out with your fingers.
My friends, all you need is a thumbtack. In a pinch, a toothpick, needle, or any fine thin stick will do. I have never been defeated by a knot with a thumbtack in hand.
You stick the pointy end into the trickiest part of the knot and slowly just work it in. The knot loosens around it, and I’ve used this metaphor for acupuncture too because it’s the same principle to me.
But anyway, I’ve untangled chains women brought in that have been stuck multiple hellish kinks and knots for decades. It never fails to astonish them, and honestly it’s fun. Very tricky knots can take longer but it always works.
!!! This has been tangled for nearly a year, and in only half an hour with the tack it’s good as new.

Small artists you need to understand that when you see an artist who you think has 'made it' tells you not to worry about the numbers and to not fret about getting more likes than reblogs they are not telling you it because they think you are stupid for caring or because they dont need to network to survive they are very likely telling you that because they have witnessed first hand the way the numbers game tears people to shreds in terms of mental health and motivation
I personally have never been one to get too hung up on numbers or clout because I've always been a very casual artist. But I have seen real lasting effects on others from even tangentially tying worth to the numbers. You can absolutely Make It and be a big artist and still have performance paralysis from The Numbers. Its not healthy, and it sticks with you in a lot of small ways. Im sure there are smug assholes out there about it, but most people telling you stop worrying are doing it because they know the end result. Even if it works and the grind pays off with lots of followers and commissions it is so, so, so easy to make yourself miserable in a myriad of ways creatively. I wish you all success but please, please try to catch this behavior/mindset early and don't let it poison your ability to create
