This blog is way too disconnected ill make this a place just for my zelda fanfic
Personally I find the NES Link’s long round nose cute, and I wish more fans would draw it.
unique noses are so fun :)
i know my art style doesn't really translate big/unique noses well but i'm working on it (and it has gotten better i think) so when in doubt, imagine a unique nose on one of my characters
Yea, I like Zelda II: The Adventure of Link a lot, but Zelda the first and Link kissing in the ending is very forced given they just met given she was asleep for hundreds of years!
yeah it's definitely because the game is a play on sleeping beauty
idk i've read fics where link and zelda are cute together in either of the games
but i think specifically for my au, rue wont be with either cause not everyone can be in a happy relationship and theres more happy relationships in my au than not and i like drama
Looking at your post on shipping Link and Zelda, despite the Link in Zelda II being the same one in Zelda I, the Zelda in The Adventure of Link is actually a different Princess Zelda from the one in the first game.
She is known as Zelda the first in the Japanese manual and all guides, her backstory has her put to sleep for generations by her brother’s magician friend!
yep! i'm also planning on making two different zeldas in my links meet au for zelda 1 and 2
they're just both such bare bones characters that i generalized my opinion to both
like the biggest interaction link has with either is when he and zelda the first kiss at the end of zelda 2 so my opinion on zelink in either of those games is...meh

I'm having a lot of fun playing Zelda 1 :)
Link is so much fun to draw! I also really love the drawings of him in the manual!

So the Link from Pre OOT games had a long button nose with the Link from the NES games having the longest nose of all. The designer of the OOT’s new Link was originally going to have a similar nose, until his wife said she liked guys with small noses, no joke!
lmao i think i heard it somewhere that that was the reason why time had a small nose
so I was reading your explanation for the "manipulate, mansplain, manwhore, manslaughter" chart and I got to the part about how none of them apply to Dawn and came to a realization:
Dawn, as you portray her, is an absurdly charismatic person. it might not be the stereotypical "rousing speech" kind of charisma, but it's charisma nonetheless. she has the kind of personal magnetism that comes with being nice. people just... want to help her. she's very easy to like and extremely difficult to hate.
it's not a kind of charisma that can be weaponized or used intentionally, and I'm almost certain that Dawn has no idea that she has any kind of charisma at all, but it's very powerful and is probably one of the biggest reasons why she's still alive.
[Context]
Oh, absolutely!
There are, imo, many types of charisma— just as there are many types of wisdom and intelligence. Dawn certainly has a lot of her particular brand of charm, and it certainly helped save her. In WV, the friendly moblins, literal servants of Ganon who have gained their own consciousness after centuries of Ganon’s rule, were moved to pity by Dawn’s plight and worked to help her and Hyrule instead.
Dawn’s charm also works on most of the Zeldas. They can’t help but want to keep her safe, and the older ones respect her for keeping her optimism and sense of wonder despite everything she’s been through. It would have been so much easier for her to end up jaded and cynical after the events of Zelda 1, but Dawn is neither jaded nor naive— instead, she’s aware of the reality of the world but actively chooses to be kind. She’s very strong in her own way.
(Fun fact: Tetra is, perhaps, the most unaffected by Dawn’s charm, because of the traits that Tetra values, and her own personality.)
