In my opinion, Maxwell’s evil is so extra to the point people can’t relate to it. He kidnapped people and put them in a new dimension, it’s so fantastical it’s like… easier to overlook?

A lot of people I know relate to Woodrow’s situation, Wagstaff keeping them alive because he misses who they were and not who they are (WX-78). It’s such a real and raw evil that of course people are not going to like him.

Wx describes him as "A SHORT-SIGHTED FOOL, AFRAID OF PROGRESS" (or something like that) and while they clearly aren't speaking from an unbiased position, it paints the picture of wagstaff being unable to let go of the human wx once was. More things from the recent arg point to this, like wagstaff collecting an ungodly amount of sap to keep their limp body satiated, and clinking his glass with their iv drip as though they're still alive, all in the vain hope that his colleague will return someday.

It shows that he's not pure evil, he cares for the people close to him, but his care is for someone who doesn't exist anymore. An old version of his friend that he can't let go of. As soon as wx became wx, their human self left the equation altogether. They see their human body through the projector, and react by simply leaving without a word.

In other words wx trans allegory stocks are UP

I know it's just because they're an everyman (every-bot?) but it kills me to imagine that within the world of don't starve, they're often relegated to tasks involving livestock because they're simply the best equipped survivor for it. they'd hate it of course, but at least they'd have something to do with themselves in spring.. maybe after a while they'd secretly learn to like it, if only a little. ARE you picking up what i'm putting down
