βBurden of These Dreamsβ is a love song written by Damon Albarn about Graham Coxon.
Holy SHITβ¦.
In one of Damon Albarnβs EARLIEST of his one billion bands, called Circus, he most likely wrote for the songs and he always sang in them too. Graham joined the band a bit later, but the other two starting members were Damonβs friends from art college, Eddie Deedigan and Tom Aitkenheadβ¦ anyway, back to my holy shit:
Like I said, I assume Damon contributed to lyrics and so Iβve been listening to their songΒ βBurden of These Dreamsβ and Iβve just began to notice some many peculiar things about the songβ¦
For example, the use of gender neutral pronouns onlyβ¦ the people the narrative only ever mentions is βyouβ and βthem.βΒ βYouβ seems to be the main character, the one the speaker is speaking dearly to, whileΒ βthemβ is another person or group of people that inspires the speaker toΒ βsingβ their song of love.
By the way, Damon was pretty young at the time of writing this song and only ever dated one girl named Jane. She did βtake his virginity,β but it wasnβt a relationship that lasted very long, so I was just looking at the lyrics hard and it doesnβt seem like these lyrics could be applicable to that odd relationship at all???? Basically, if ya catch my drift, I want to delve into the lyrics a bit more and explain who this song is really about.Β
Basically, to give you the sweetest, quickest, and strongest bitch slap youβve ever experienced in your entire freakinβ life:Β TL;DR?Β I think βBurden of These Dreamsβ is a love song written by Damon about GRAHAM COXON.
BATTEN DOWN THE HATCHES, YA BEAUTIES! THIS IS GONNA GO INTO A LOT OF DETAIL, SO IβM SETTING THIS BEHIND A READ MORE!
