im afraid this'll be a bit of an info dump, and im no artist, so you'll get my clones two at a time :). i got carried away when brainstorming a jedi character and now she has a whole battalion of idiots to look after. the 300th Battalion, her flagship battalion, is a part of the larger 15th Lantern Corps, which she is in command of. High Jedi General Hadisa Lim'e (sadly cannot add the right accent marks) is her name.
these clone's identifying color is a medium aquamarine, usually painted creatively and with detail! they are heavily influenced by Hadisa's homeworld's culture (a planet of my own creation).
Commander Cabur, CT-4040
cabur means "protector" in mando'a. he's down to earth, emotionally repressed, and tries to be no-nonsense, but with men like his, you either laugh or you cry. he's his general's right-hand man, and incredibly loyal--more so than normal for a clone, because that happens when General Lim'e, who inspires loyalty wherever she goes, is your commanding Jedi. the General's most prominent tattoo* is featured on many of her troop's armor, but Cab's most obviously. he has a few distinct facial scars that cut horizontally across his face from shrapnel, and two vertical line tattoos that start below his eyes. and in the fashion of the 300th, he has an artistic hobby that seems unusual in the GAR; who expects a stoic, rule-following commander to be skilled with a pencil? his sketchbook is filled with drawings of brothers, places he's been, his General, her padawan**, and people and things he deems interesting.
Decaf, CT-6366
this poor man can fall asleep anytime, anywhere, and on anyone. one of the 300th battalion's field medics, he's extremely competent and efficient--but that doesn't stop him from yawning in the middle of a treatment. with the added fact that he also consumes the most caf out of anyone, even Cabur, its obvious how he earned his name. Decaf is a fantastic embroiderer, and when he's not napping or under fire, he sometimes spends his time mending. he's quite patient. he's the butt of all the jokes, embraces it, and almost enjoys it. he has triangular tattoos under his eyes and has grown out his hair for a topknot. has plenty of weird dreams that he'll tell his patients to calm them down and distract them.
*Hadisa's homeworld is a planet i made up, Cousault. she'd been lucky enough to actually spend a lot of time there as a padawan. the tattoo designs are heavily symbolic and inspired by a mix of Māori and fantasy elvish art/style, and this one specifically is on her chin.
**the padawan is a sweet Rhodian boy named Tavee Bletpolo

High Jedi General Hadisa Lim'e \ Queen Esther of Persia
"...perhaps you have come to your royal position for such a time as this." ----Esther 4:14b
(this one was intentional) Hadisa's name is derived from Esther's Hebrew name Hadassah, which means myrtle.
myrtle was mentioned in other passages to grow in the wilderness and in the place of evil -> Esther became queen in a pagan land and stopped Haman's plan to exterminate the Jews. Hadisa became a wartime hero who challenged the ideas that this war is for the good of the galaxy (and that clones are not people).
both women were chosen and taken from their homes to serve a "greater purpose" -> Esther for the king's harem, and Hadisa for the Jedi Order.
both women became very influential in their worlds -> Esther became Queen of Persia, and Hadisa became a Jedi Master.
both women were a part of minority groups -> Esther was a Jewish woman, and Hadisa was a Cousaulti jedi.
both women were troubled by the times and fear of death -> Esther by the destruction of her people, and the danger of approaching the king unannounced. Hadisa by the war she fought in and the constant reminder that she was responsible for her men's lives.
both women had to undergo an important, rigorous, long process to reach their position -> Esther experienced lavish beauty and cosmetic treatments for an entire year, and Hadisa was trained in the force for most of her life.
both women had adoptive father figures that guided and supported them -> Esther had Mordecai, her cousin who adopted her, and Hadisa had Diomo Te, her jedi master.
One time in literature class my professor was talking about myths and Christianity and how in the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice he fails to overcome death but how in the medieval version “Sir Orfeo” the hero succeeds because now this myth was being told in a world where Death was a thing that was overcome and could be, where the King had rescued his bride; and then he started talking about the transition and difference between the pagan world and the advent of Christianity and said “in a world full of stories of gods pursuing people in wrath and lust, can you imagine how it must have been to hear of a God pursuing people in love?” And every few days I still get emotional about that
So one of my favorite books of all time is the Heliand. It is a cultural translation of the Gospels written by Frankish Monks to the Gothic pagans. They realized that the Goths weren’t getting the message of scripture because they kept getting hung up on weird details. They changed a lot of stuff, like calling cities hillforts, and turning Joseph from a Carpenter to a Warband Leader, and the Holy Ghost decending from heaven from a dove to a crow. But one of the more interesting aspects is that they repeatedly hammer home over and over again Jesus overcoming Fate. To the Germanic pagans, all men were bound by Fate. None could defy it at all, and the ultimate fate of every man was Death. This was a central belief to them. So that turned into a HUGE message in the Heliand. the first time is Mary and Joseph fleeing from Herod with Baby Jesus. They viewed that as him defying his fated death for the first time. There are a handful of other instances, but it builds and builds until he actually is killed, and all is lost. This GodMan who defied Fate since his birth, and was sent as our new war leader who will ever bring us victory, was murdered. All hope is gone. But no, he defied his fate one last time and arose from the dead! This is miracle of miracles! This is unbelievable! Death, the Great End, the fate that all men and even gods eventually find themselves at could not hold him for more than three short days.
It was this message that converted the pagans. This idea of overcoming that which was unavoidable by all, and being offered the same gift.
Also, the Heliand is a song and I desperately want to hear it sung.

i find so much joy in connecting my characters and how they interact with each other through symbolism. so many possibilities. the story itself is given depth. it's not just a thing that i made up, it's a myth now
im sooo obsessed with ordinary sainthood and religious iconography with my characters too, because its all about symbolism. taking people and their soul and daily life and story and personhood and turning into something revered, holy, sacred. like, someone bled and cried in a war and tried to hope for light at the end of the tunnel. and here they are pictured in the stained glass with the sun behind them. their armor markings have been turned into good luck symbols, they bear a halo and are painted in gold on centuries-old stone.
i freaking love the weirdness of it, even though its not something that's actually part of their story. its another bit of me saying "look at this person and everything they mean" bc yeah after the heck i put them through, they deserve a little reverence
i love making my own characters to fit inside preexisting universes and storylines. sometimes its like my subconscious thinks that its a little piece of me
