Order 66 AU where Obi-Wanâbeing, well, Obi-Wanâcompletely misreads the situation when Cody shoots him during the purge and decides, with absolute conviction, that it was an extremely aggressive form of flirting.
Naturally, this leads to Obi-Wan acquiring a feral, still-chipped Cody and dragging him across the galaxy on his various misadventures.
Cody, meanwhile, is relentless. Every possible opportunity is a murder attempt. Blaster shots, ambushes, trying to push Obi-Wan off cliffs, sneaking poison into his foodâanything.
Obi-Wan, however, remains entirely unbothered.
Cody fires at him? Obi-Wan deflects the bolts and smiles softly like he has just been written a haiku.
At one point, Cody lunges at Obi-Wan with a vibroblade in front of Bail. Obi-Wan smoothly disarms Cody in a single motion, lightly holding Codyâs wrist as he sighs and says, blushing faintly,âNot in front of Bail, dear one,â like itâs foreplay.
This whole situation is so utterly baffling to Cody that it basically short-circuits his chip.
The moment Codyâs free Obi-Wanâs getting shaken within an inch of his life,âYOU KRIFFING DIâKUT, I WAS NOT FLIRTING! I WAS TRYING TO KILL YOU!!! WHAT DO YOU THINK FLIRTING IS?!â
Obi-Wan blinks at him, completely thrown. ââŚOh. So you donât like me.â
Cody makes a strangled noise thatâs somewhere between a yell and a groan. âYES, I LIKE YOU, YOU DIâKUT!â
After order 66, the surviving Jedi gained the habit of watching the Most Wanted list (expect those that canât access the holonet). (No one has ever beat Obi-Wan as number 1, but a few came close).
Now imagine one day when Kanan is checking it, seeing if anymore names have disappeared or even the very few times that new names were added, he sees a name and face pop up, one that he knows. Just imagine the relief of knowing that a fellow padawan, an age mate was alive, and then the immediate confusion on what the hell did Cal do that got him that high on the most wanted list.
Friendly reminder that most clones didnât know about the inhibitor chips. It makes Codyâs âwe make our own decisions, our own choices, and we have to live with them tooâ hit a bit harder.

Au where after 3 years of war and Palpatine using the chips orders on the Corrie Guard, proven thoroughly effective, only for Order 66 to fail.
Turns out the chips werent effective and while the chips helped the Corrie Guard instinctiveky know what each order meant, it never actually took control.
The Corries Defense when this all comes out after Palps is killed and the war over? How the fuck were they supposed to know what an "abuse of power" was!? How were they supposed to know the Chancelor shouldnt be sending clones on "black out" missions!?
They were trained to be soldiers not police!
And any order that was actually trouble or wasn't right or simply the clones just didn't want to follow the order, the Corries simply lied. They lied, right to face of the Chancellor of the Republic. They lied to a Sith Lord. AND GOT AWAY WITH IT EVERYTIME!
