All Your Favorite Characters are Pokemon Masters

1. Drowzee

Of course he has this dude, why wouldn't he? Drowzee appears to be silly outright but is actually rather sinister. That sinisterness is increased to 100 when his trainer dies. Cause guess what? They're all still around. They weren't burned with him so...this guy's still out there...still preying on kids and eating their dreams...

2. Tangela

Let's just say he didn't just use this little freak for just help out in the garden...those vines are uh...very convenient for holding down victims...yikes...

3. Kirlia (shiny)

Mostly meant to disarm and in a way gaslight victims, kirlia messed with the kid's memories, making them blurry or unclear, or even outright implanting false memories to throw them off later. Kirlia has a doll like quality that made her approachable, an appearance her trainer happily utilized...

4. Servine

Servine was plenty of help out in the garden, but like Kirlia his appearance was also utilized. Boys like cool things, snakes are cool...you get it. In addition he also helped tangela and Freddy in the garden...and for other nefarious purposes.

5. Houndour

Meant to be a guard dog of sorts, houndour prowled the preschool, and went after intruders who would try to bother his trainer after hours. As a dog like Pokémon, some kids also felt safe around him. And rightfully so, as Freddy didn't use Houndour in any way to harm the kids. Post burning, this houndour is now a houndoom and lives, oddly enough, with Nancy, serving as a guardian of sorts, as she asked to keep him.

6. Banette

I imagine he has a whole collection of these things made up of discarded kids toys or things he just took from the children because Freddy was a dick like that. Yeah, man had a small army of Banettes that "haunted" the school. Rumor in Springwood states that some may not have left the school and its ruins, and attack anyone who comes too close...

1. Absol

Call this guy Remmick's herald, as in the world of Pokémon Absol is a seen as a bad omen. I imagine the superstition is rooted in ancient times and it would still ring true in the world of Sinners. To see this particular absol...well...keep your doors locked and let no one in.

2. Unown

Do not laugh, this has potential to be absolutely terrifying. According to Pokémon 3 the movie, Spell of the Unown, these little alphabetical freaks have the power to tap into the mind/imagination of any frees/uses them and uses that to boost their power and bring their fantasies to life....that's reality bending. You really think Remmick would pass on collecting these things? Fuck no. He probably spent centuries LOOKING for all of them! Sinners would've ended very differently if these guys were somehow involved...just saying.

3. Crobat

I literally have no explanation for this. It just makes sense. I actually think zubat was his first Pokémon after getting turned, so he's had it for God knows how long. Of course it loves Remmi and is a fierce fighter on its own.

4. Chatot

This is probably his most disarming Pokémon. Chatot doesn't do much, but what it does it does effectively. Not only can it whistle really well, it lulls potential prey into a false sense of security which makes hunting all the easier for Remmick. Chatot doesn't necessarily approve of what he does, but it's been around long enough to be mostly desensitized to it.

5. Mimikyu

If absol is Remmicks herald, this little bastard is his final warning. You see this little psychopath? You're pretty much dead or gonna get turned. One of the two. At the same time, it could also be seen as disarming in a similar way to chatot, as some people find it cute. It's small but it's actually a lot tougher than it looks.

6. Spectrier

So I have a whole story in my mind for this one. I think originally she was a galarian Rapidash he owned as a human. She was his most prized Pokémon, probably raised her from a baby, and when he got turned into a vampire, her connection to Remmick was so strong that she too became a creature of the night, the legendary Spectrier. She's his oldest Pokémon and still is his favorite!

1. Rapidash

Well of course he needs a horse like pokemon during this time. I'd imagine she's been in a few of his movies too. I headcanon that he raised her from a ponyta and was probably one of his first pokemon.

2. Arcanine

Cmon guys...you didn't think I'd not give him another dog right? Just this fellows a bit bigger and he can be ridden around on. He often challenges rapidash to races, and they're always pretty close.

3. Altaria

Okay so...hear me out. Altaria was a swablu that Barb got Coop for an anniversary, possibly their first wedding anniversary. She was originally intended to be like a house pet pokemon but Cooper insisted on training her to guard the house. Altaria was a sweetheart, helpful around the Howard household and vigilant in her duty to protect her humans.

4. Duskull

Duksull was a late addition to the team. Cooper actually caught him to be a companion for Janey, possibly have him be her first pokemon. Despite his spooky appearance, Cooper's Duskull was empathic and generally kind. He was fiercely loyal to both Coop and his daughter.

5. Braviary

This one I feel just makes sense. Braviary I feel is a reflection of who Cooper Howard was: strong, loyal, caring, and heroic. I had the idea that he actually rescued braviary when he was in the marines, freeing him from a trap, and he just stuck with him since.

6. Excadrill

Definitely caught as a drillbur, excadrill was the bravest of Cooper's original team. He was also the longest lasting after the bombs fell, accompanying him into the wasteland for the first fifty years after, and staying by his side as his body mutated. Excadrill was protective of his trainer, coming off as guarded and vicious at the end...

1. Mudsdale

This one was the first one I decided on for him. If you think he wouldn't have horse like pokemon on his team, where is your head? Not to mention Mudsdale is pretty tanky and can take a hit like it's nothing. I imagine this is probably his oldest pokemon from his current team (probably the last surviving one from his previous team). Mudsdale is deeply loyal to his trainer and does his best to help when he can.

2. Flygon

This one was a little last minute but I actually think flygon would be really cool and really convenient for him to have. Little dude is good at retaining information as well as keeping tabs on targets. Flygon is rare in the wasteland, as many trapinch don't survive long even in those harsh conditions. I actually headcanon that this was a reverse catching: Cooper got caught by a trapinch and was like "welp, I can't get you off so you're coming with me". Flygon is a little speed demon as well, which is also very convenient.

3. Kabutops

Okay so this one I had to actually think about. I'd imagine fossil types would be impossible to bring back now but this is my blog so if I want Cooper to have a kick ass kabutops he's gonna have one...okay, okay...look dude needs a water type pokemon and I actually forgot kabutops was a water type. I feel like it would blend in and adapt pretty well to the wasteland. Being water type is incredibly useful. The fact it looks cool is just a perk.

4. Steelix

Caught as an onix, this pokemon is mudsdale's rival in terms of strength and loyalty. The first pokemon to be caught for this new team, he evolved it after searching every-goddamn-where for a metal coat. Steel type pokemon are rare in most places, most having been hunted to near extinction for scrapmetal/parts. I'd imagine this particular steelix feels lucky...

5. Mightyena

Coop likes dogs.

That's it. That's the whole thing...

Okay maybe it isn't. Alright so we all know he likes dogs, and I'll admit it was a challenge to decide what dog like pokemon he'd have. Packs of mightyena are common, so I Imagine coop was able to snag a poochyena from its pack and raise it as his companion. He knows ice fang, which surprises folks who dare challenge this thing. Mightyena is also an excellent tracker and doesn't give up once he's on a mission to hunt with his human. He tends to have a sour attitude and sometimes picks fights with mudsdale and steelix.

6. Banette

Going into this, I knew I wanted to give him a ghost type. Babette is just a freaky little dude that just wouldn't stop following him around. Every team needs a gremlin who causes problems on purpose and this dude is definitely it. He's a pain in the ass but he's a mostly loveable one. Not to mention he's an expert at stealing drugs that coop needs. So he's a lovable, useful, pain in the ass.

Team Rorschach

1. Charmeleon

I think charmander was his first pokemon. Being the son of a prostitute, poor dude was picked on a lot, I imagine his charmander would literally light fires under his bullies asses. Honestly the thought is extremely hilarious. So why a charmeleon and not a charizard? Charizard is too big...too loud...too noticeable. No one is usually suspicious of mid range or basic pokemon. Charmeleon is very protective and proactive whenever he's on a mission.

2. Ditto

Hear me out: he would totally have a ditto on cases where he would need extreme discretion or on the rare occasion where he was needed in two places at once. That's right: Rorschach's ditto can look like him...so...make of that what you will...

3. Poochyena

In cases where tracking or extreme aggression are called for, Rorschach more than happily utilizes this little dude. Small and convenient, he's also good at getting into tight spaces and looking at things he normally wouldn't think to. Plus his night vision is an added plus. I headcanon that poochyenas jaws lock, and it's bite force is similar to that of a rottweiler: the bigger the skull the harder the bite. And this poochyena...has a biiiig head...just saying.

4. Noctowl

Do I really need to explain this one? He and nite Owl were partners for a long time. I think Daniel caught a hoothoot and gave it to him as a Christmas gift or something. This is the only fully evolved pokemon on Rorschach's team...it's very important to him. Anyway, it also does aerial surveillance and isn't afraid to put enemies to sleep or even knock them out entirely. Don't mess with this noctowl. It will fuck you up. Hands down no question. And if you mess with the noctowl, well, he'll break your fingers...and then some.

5. Marill

Yep, rorschachs got a fairy type, in case he ever has to deal with pesky dragons. Why marill? Because he likes how cute it is,though he'd lie and say he just likes blue (not a lie but a certainly a better reason). Marill is very caring and nurturing, it's very much the emotional and mental support pokemon.

6. Noibat

Okay fine, this one was a biiiit of a biased choice, but I think he'd like this little guy. Noibat is really good at picking up sounds and on cases where quiet is needed, noibat makes a good look out. Rorschach also taught it how to pick open locks. Yep, his noibat could rob you and you'd never know. In fact that's most likely how they met.

So what happened to Rorschach's team after his passing? Well, Daniel and Laurie took it upon themselves to take care of them. Abiding by his wishes, they never allowed them to evolve, the ones that could anyway.

However, oddly enough...his ditto was missing...hm...

1. Talonflame

I'm pretty sure you can guess why I put talonflame on the team. It's the bird motif man, and it's strong here. Talonflame is Defender's lead Pokémon, and his fastest. However its not his strongest. This bird is brash, bold, and unafraid to put any Pokémon or supernatural entity in their place.

2. Haxorus

Hax is the only surviving member of Team Defender, sadly. I love the idea of Defender Strange with a dragon, but I wanted him to have one that wasn't necessarily goofy looking or over the top. Hax is imposing but has a surprisingly gentle nature despite his appearance and ferocity in battle. He becomes something of a Guardian to America Chavez, integrating into her team of mostly fighters and fairies. Hax sticks out like a sore thumb and he's okay with that.

3. Delphox

Okay maybe there's a little bit of a fire motif with this team too, because this one was a toss up between Delphox and ninetales. Delphox won because she's part psychic as well, and I like the idea of Stephen having a psychic type in every universe. It may also come as no surprise that Delphox is also the most magically gifted of Team Defender.

4. Mightyena

Every team has a dark side and mightyena is kinda the representation of Defender's inner darkness, perhaps even a foreshadowing of what he becomes later in Multiverse of Madness. Mightyena is brave, loyal to the core, and evolved surprisingly quickly. He's usually there to help the team get out of serious trouble, seeing his comrades as his family/pack.

5. Lucario

We all know Stephen's all about the auras, and what better Pokémon to pick up on those than Lucario? He's a direct rival of the Delphox, believing more in physical might than magic. I believe this was his second pokemon, potentially hatched from an egg, so Defender feels a very close kinship to his Lucario, and the feeling is very much mutual.

6. Zigzagoon

Like wooloo I have no excuse. I love this Pokémon, and for some reason I feel he just vibes with defender Strange. Seen oftentimes riding around on his shoulder or on mightyena's back, zigzagoon is a little adventurer. He loves to travel and do things with his friends. He's not very strong but he's the sort of heart of Team Defender.

1. Decidueye

I personally like to think Rowlet was Stephen's starter Pokémon. It was his first caught and has been with him through everything. He's the most loyal of the team, and was already fully evolved before the events of the first movie. In a way, he was foreshadowing as to what he was meant to become. I know some people will think that hawk eye would be better trainer for Decidueye and maybe those folks are right, but I personally just really love the idea of Stephen with an owl like Pokémon. And no offense to fans of noctowl and hoothoot (I love them both) but they just look kinda goofy.

2. Arcanine

In the case of arcanine, I like to think he was actually a gift from Christine, who knew a breeder, as a sort of anniversary gift. He didn't plan to evolve the little growlithe, until, in addition to the watch, she also got him a fire stone to evolve it whenever he wanted. I don't think Stephen evolved his growlithe until after the events of the first movie, so he has a growlithe in the first one. Arcanine, like Decidueye, is loyal to the core and loves Stephen deeply. Besides, how cool would it be to see him ride around on this giant tiger-dog?!

3. Klefki

Caught and originally kept as a joke, I could definitely see Stephen buffing the hell out of this thing and making it stronger than it appears. Tony made fun of Klefki one time and one of his cars got keyed. Needless to say klefki is a little psychopath who hates just about everyone equally. It's mischievous but not lethal. Plus I also like to think Klefki has impeccable memory and reminds Stephen to do things as he's prone to forget. Klefki really likes America Chavez and she's probably the only human it doesn't prank.

4. Milotic

The first Pokémon Stephen caught after coming to Kamar Taj was feebas, and she served as a lesson of friendship, cooperation, and responsibility. Milotic is kind, caring and patient, the sort of mom friend of the Strange Team, despite not having been in it for very long. Probably not the best dragon for him, but Stephen adores her anyway.

5. Alakazam

At first, I was a little unsure about this Pokémon, but I feel it fits in here. It's extremely intelligent, and I think Stephen honestly appreciates and respects that. He doesn't get its obsession with spoons, but just goes with it. He doesn't use mega evolution, as he sees it as cruel because a Pokémon's entire existence becomes pain when mega evolution is used. Alakazam also may be the only Pokémon intelligent enough to also learn the mystic arts to a smaller extent, so in a way it's an equal.

6. Wooloo

I literally have no excuse for this, I just really think Stephen would absolutely love this Pokémon because it's soft and adorable, and he can appreciate that. Stephen tried to put it in the PC once...ONCE...and wooloo gave him the sad eyes and he gave in, allowing it to stay. It's more of a pet than a fighter, as it doesn't like conflict. That all being said though, it's not afraid to step up if it needs to. It will roll over anyone. Like a dog, when it hears Stephen return to the Sanctum, it rolls up to greet him, almost knocking him over. Also wooloo may or may not have tried to fly with the Cloak of Levitation at least once....
