Best Mega Evolution Tournament- Round 2: Match 11
Mega Banette vs Mega Eelektross
Mega Banette
Mega Eelektross
Mega Eelektross' initial appearance.
With the accents of pink and yellow, I can't help but feel like these two go together aesthetically quite well!
Well, as much as you may like Mega Banette, I can't recommend training one! This tossed away doll-turned-Pokémon gains so much power and vindictiveness upon mega evolving that it can't help cursing its trainer- and who knows what terrible things that may bring on you. The unlocking of Mega Banette's power through its zippers being opened has given this creature phenomenal power, resulting in a 50 point boost to its Attack, the highest of any Ghost type Pokémon. Despite it being the lightest Mega Evolution, it will cause problems for everyone in battle (including its trainer, as we mentioned) through its Prankster ability allowing it to inflict status moves with unprecedented speed. It can also create up to three shadowy copies of itself to fool foes, so watch out you're not facing a decoy while the real Mega Banette sneaks up behind you... Watch out which dolls you throw away is all I can say!
Less creepy is the returning Mega from last time, Mega Eelektross! Since we last saw this Pokémon, we've had revealed its delightfully named ability, Eelevate! It's clear now that the power of the pun was what allowed it to beat Mega Baxcalibur- but what about Mega Banette?
