actually I wonder if what Susie was calling Kris out here was not for carrying a knife around all the time, but for not pulling it out when she threatened to bite their face off

a thing going on in Deltarune a lot is like, characters doing fairly reasonable or even kind things (ralsei stepping in to heal kris because they're in immediate need, noelle assuring susie that she's not romantically entangled with kris in a clumsy way, ralsei trying to share the worldview he's found some sort of comfort in with tenna, toriel having drinks with someone she's flirting with, tenna trying to connect with kris about missing time with their family, ramb making a fun game for Kris, honestly I could keep going) and it Causing Damage, because the characters all have different poorly overlapping trauma or things land wrong just due to timing or it's not actually as kind or reasonable as the character thought or whatever. it's genuinely Interesting to me - these characters are all well intentioned and care about each other and such, they're Trying, it's just that communicating and helping each other is messy and they're not like. perfect. most of them are teens.
